CNN saying Lebanon Evacuee's will be held in Stadiums but not Tent Cities!
CNN's Barbara Star saying that with thousands of Evacuee's landing in Lebanon the Bush Admin. has made it clear that while "temporary accomodations like Stadiums, Schools and other Public places will be open that they do not want a "Tent City Situation" to evolve.

Knowing that the Bushies always do the opposite of what they say...doesn't this sound like the New Orleans Super Dome all over again? Detain Lebanese Americans until their "Papers are in Order" just to make sure there aren't any Hezbollah folks that might be trying to get into the US?

CNN already set up a "Detainee" situation by leading off their 5:00 p.m. Broadcast asking if "Hezbollah Agents" could do terrorist attacks in the US. They gave the Rebuttal to that to Cafferty to handle...but the NEO-CON MEME was apparent in that they were trying to frighten Americans into thinking Hezbollah has "TERRA CELLS" HERE in the US!

Set up for MASSIVE DETENTION CAMPS ON CYPRUS!

Maybe I'm wrong about this...maybe I am paranoid that Bush/Cheney will use the Evacuation to detain Lebanese-Americans and that Star mentioning "No Tent Cities" means that Bush doesn't want a repeat of Katrina...but it SOUNDS LIKE SET UP to me.

1. Is The Superdome Available?
They did such a wonderful job with those evacuations, perhaps they can try again.

If not, perhaps the Astrodome is free. barb bush can then comment on how much better these people have it.

2. Sounds like they just need a few good travel agents
Cyprus has airports... It should be a STAGING location..

1. get off the boats...helicopters
2. go to waiting buses
3. go to airports
4. get on waiting chartered planes
5. fly off to BIGGER cities with BIGGER airports
.....americans could be flown to germany/Italy/France

In an international emergency, countries' presidents, premiers, etc. often have stepped up and "made stuff happen"

Can you see Truman or FDR just sitting back for a week, twiddling his thumbs waiting for the "private sector" to offer suggestions?

4. Open places to keep the stay short.
I think that is what they are trying to accomplish here.
