Re-framing: "Hezbollah is a threat not only to Israel but to the entire
region." So says the Israeli spokesperson. I don't recall Hezbollah fighting anyone except the Israelis.

1. Yeah, but if Hezbollah attacks Israel
Israel will start bombing EVERYBODY. So, by extension, Hezbollah is a "threat"...

is there actually a difference between the Republicans and the Democrats. Good fugging grief. How come US seizing and locking up citizens from outside is wrong but these people ignore the number of prisoners in Israeli jails some for decades. I need a break from this planet.

Both sides of the house support the death of innocent civilians.

Dems are dead in November - the REthugs are recording all this crap being spewed by Dems as they come from behind as they did following 9/11.

5. Sick but true politics.
Hundreds of innocent people are being blowed-up to pieces ... mostly Lebanese ...

... But the crass, sick but true political aspect of this is that Rove has AGAIN manuevered the Democrats onto the same side as Bush: pro-war, pro-death, pro-'never-ending-war-on-terror'.

Why vote for a pale wannabe warrior against terra' when you can vote for the REAL THING? Since the Democrats just cannot make themselves into a party for diplomacy, peace, reason and justice, then all they have left is to mimic the 'tough' Bush/Rove lines about "fightin' them terra-rists."

Sheesh.

6. As a foreigner...
one bit of hypocrisy I see with especially the GOP is that they have NO problem with those 'hezbullah' types disarming themselves...but use the entirely opposite rationale when they defend gun ownership in the US...apparantly domestically they endorse people doing exactly what Hezbullah is doing...arming themselves for defending their homes.

Cognitive dissonance?

several global issues have them on the defensive again.

Sad to say until the Democratic party finds its moral center again, all is lost. The Dems are also in the hands of special interests. Bushco will now sit back and laugh while Dems rethink their positions.

Dems had every change to grab the initiative from Katrina and get back to their roots. We are all colllctively fugged again. Corporate owned Dems cannot help America or the world. Sorry - I have had it with special interests destroying our planet.
