And what shall we CALL the "Situation in the Middle East"?
The Israel Lebanon Conflict? The "06" war? The Hezballah war? And what shall we call it when the U.S. gets involved? They like to give military operations cool titles, like, "Operation Forward Together" or some other catchy Madison Avenue name.

Its likely to go on for a while, and we can't just refer to it as the situation in the middle east forever.

1. Kind of like naming a decade.
I don't think we'll know until later.

Unless of course the name turns out to be "Armageddon".

:)

6. Agreed
with perhaps the tagline... "That Really Icky Thing A Happin' around Israel and Lebanon, that we haven't a clue as to how to respond".

3. We could take a cue from the cable and network news....
and give it a flashy name like, "The beginning of the end in the Middle East, with Anderson Cooper."

7. "turning another corner" --reminds me of a picture (escher, I think) of an
edifice that looks like four walls topped with stairs--an optical illusion, because the stairs are either going up or down, endlessly.

9. How about, "Israel Deserves the Fuck?"
That seems to be very popular here!
