I am a Democrat to the bitter end! Always have been and always will be.
It is who I am. I take the bad with the good, in my Party. I believe in the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party has always been for the working class, for the underdog, for us all. I will not abandoned my Party. I am Proud Democrat and no one will take that from me! I will not be silenced.

6. It means that the overall party has started to come back in places
that it has been decades since anyone has bothered to put time and money into. It means that Ds are running for offices in greater numbers then before, it means that the Ds are poised to take back the country.

It is not perfect, we still have a long road ahead of us but damn it, we are ON OUR WAY.

4. Sorry, but I think that sounds like blind loyalty
I switched my party registration to Independent last year, after only one Democratic Senator (Boxer) signed on to the objection in the House of the certification of the Ohio electors.

By the way, I remember Judy Woodruff interviewing Zell Miller after his speech at the 2004 Republican Convention. And she basically asked him why he was sitll a Democrat if he disagreed with the party so much. He said that when he goes to the "pearly gates" (his words, not mine) he wants to be able to tell his Mom and Dad he remained a Democrat all his life.

5. Well yes it is blind loyalty and I have no problem with it. Zell Miller
is not a Democrat.

Call me a moonbat. Call me an elitist. Call me treasonous. I'm a Democrat, I'm proud of it, and no, I won't shut up.

19. Kerry's campaign was the first one I'd ever REALLY participated in
I phone banked on my birthday for that man.

I guess it's sort of like one's "first love". He's special to me for that reason.

I've only recently come to appreciate Gore, but he's quite cool as well.

hard for him after that. :loveya: But Gore had me from the start.

21. Everyone who saw that movie took one step closer
Those who kinda liked him really liked him after that.

I already really liked him, so that movie put me into "band of brother" mode. I'd have followed him off a cliff.

God love him though, I wish he could stay mad most of the time. He's so eloquent when he's mad. He puts even ME to sleep when he's not.

22. Well he never put me to sleep and Gore didn't either. I saw what they
were worth and I appreciated it. I often tell my husband, "from a Rhodes Scholar, Sen Kerry and President Gore, to the village idiot". How far we have fallen. Makes me ill!
