Now just imagine Clinton putting his hand around a woman's neck
at a major international meeting and giving her a massage. Just imagine. If anything could knock the Israeli/Lebanon castastrophe off the front pages, that would do it. But alas, Bush gets his usual pass.

1. Yup....he's never called to the carpet on his own personal actions.

His administration, it's various players, do from time to time. But Chimpy? Not to any meaningful extent. Once in a while he gets an 'arrogant' label, but that's about it.

4. Not just a woman. A head of state.
And I realize the accepted narrative is firmly set, but that was no massage I saw. It was more malignant than that.

8. if that pic that was on here yesterday wasn't photoshopped in any way,
then there was something deeply disturbing about the way * looked--almost wild-eyed, hair looked like he had stuck his finger in a light socket. very scary. and the way chancellor merkel's hands were balled into fists--looked like she wanted to strike him. she was clearly pissed.

5. when ray-gun was called the "teflon president", I don't think any of us
could imagine somebody so far beyond teflon that NOTHING he does received the tiniest bit of criticism from the idiots on the right.

17. Yeah and didn't the Spelling woman (Sec of Ed) get some cheek
kisses (and maybe a butt squeeze)? Just kidding about the butt squeeze, but yeah, I think W was slipping the tongue to some of his cabinet members.

18. Hell, the chimp is so hard up for affection that
he even kissed Lieberman. "Not tonight" has probably long since morphed into "Not ever" as far as Pickles is concerned.

7. Righties would be all over it if it had been Pres. Clinton
The video would be on the news, the radio talk shows would beat it to death, etc. But Bush, well he's just a harmless "folksy" guy. :puke:

10. Never mind Clinton

If any man in my office did that to a female coworker against her will, he would be more or less summarily fired and likely sued if not prosecuted for assault.

Of course, if any man in my office invaded a sovereign nation and murdered 100,000+ innocent civilians therein, he'd probably be fired for that, too...

12. I think the veeps and higher at my company would be safe.
So many went along with the Big Lie about WMD, and the illegal Iraq invasion, and the continuing Boosh Corporate McPravda lapdance, it's shocking. If we were to go after ALL the turds who've benefited from the war, we'd have to empty the prisons.

Which, apart from freeing less-deadly murderers than they, it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. Either way, we're probably going to have to contract for new construction. It'll be a good day when it doesn't go to Halliburton.

11. Clinton was a sexual being, Bush is a eunuch.
People see nothing sexual in Bush.

What I always see with his actions is an attempt to be dominant. Given his position, he can get away with it. Even heads of other governments can't tell him where to go. He's the ugly American is every way.

13. If Clinton had behaved at a summit the way Bush did...
...the Republicans wouldn't have waited to impeach him. They'd have dragged him onto the White House lawn and stood him in front of a firing squad. Those goddamned hypocrites.

19. Either that or have him taken away in a straightjacket
right then and there, loosening his restraints only long enough to have him sign a letter of resignation.

It's a DU cliche, but there's a lot of truth to the statement that Bush could have his way with a teenage boy on national tv during halftime at the Super Bowl, and the Republicans would find a way to not only justify it, they'd be lined up to praise it. They are very sick, demented individuals.

Welcome to DU, by the way. You'll like it here.
