Call The White House now. Ask the chimp not to veto H.R. 810

VICTORY in the Senate! Call the WHITE HOUSE NOW!! Take Action!

I just got this in my inbox from parkinsons action network. I thought I might post part of it here.

Dear Daniel

As you know, H.R. 810, the Stem Cell Research Act, was passed by a strong bipartisan vote of 63-37 in the Senate today. All of your hard work has been recognized by the majority of our senators. This is a great move forward in this crucial research.
Unfortunately, our work is not done. President Bush has recently released a statement reaffirming his stance on vetoing the bill.

If a veto happens, we anticipate it happening Wednesday afternoon. Between now and tomorrow afternoon, we must send a clear signal to the president that a veto against this bill is a veto against the potential of finding a life-saving cure for Parkinson’s and other diseases.

We need your help! Please call the White House and ask that the president reconsider his position on stem cell research. (202-456-1414).

Sincerly xxxxxxxxx

Please call the number and ask the president not to be a rogue activist chimp.

Thanks Everyone,
Danny.

2. I just called the number above. The person who answered
transfered me to the "comment line". I heard a recording telling me that they were closed and to call back another day between 9 and 5. I was also given this number directly to the comment line: 202-456-1111

I'm surprised they didn't have that as 1911! since everything else is linked to 9/11 now. :sarcasm:

5. Like he cares?

Any other president, I would have said sure, but I suspect the effort is a waste (which is sad).

Better to call his donors, or his wife, or anyone....

6. I agree in a way. He's effen useless.
But we have to lodge a formal objection.

And then, get onto the dirty business that may stop this.

My whole "outrage" meter is on tilt. Oh well. Another day.
