Faux interviewed Mark Hitchcock not identifying him as a radical Christian
Edited on Tue Jul-18-06 05:24 PM by skip fox
He was just interviewed on Iraq's role in the current fighting (esp.on Hizbolla's role and relation to Iran) by John Gibson on his "Big Story." Hitchcock's expertise according to "Big Story"? He wrote a book titled _Iran: The Coming Crisis_, but Gibson didn't identify him as an End of Times consultant and radical Christian author.

According to:

http://www.leftbehind.com/channelendtimes.asp?pageid=1276&channelID=71

"Dr. Mark Hitchcock is contributing editor of the Left Behind Prophecy Club newsletter. He is pastor of Faith Bible Church in Edmonds, Oklahoma and a nationally recognized prophecy author and speaker."

He also wrote for The Tim LaHaye Prophecy Study Bible.

And according to:

http://www.familynetradio.com/mornings/guest.asp?id=405

"Mark Hitchcock has earned himself a reputation as one of the most sought-after authorities in biblical prophecy for a new generation. He has written fourteen easy to read books on and topics that serve to clarify biblical prophecy for the general reader. In 1981, Hitchcock graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. After earning his law degree, he went on to practice law for four years in the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals. Responding to a call to the ministry, in 1991 he began pastoring Faith Bible Church in Edmond, Oklahoma, where he continues to serve today. Hitchcock received his master of theology degree from the prestigious Dallas Theological Seminary, where he recently returned to earn his PhD."

So what else has this brilliant analyst written? (Here's a list from

7. Hitchcock implies that we should attack Iran. Apparently, Faux
is laying a foundation to indicate such an attack is a reasonable scenario by providing justifications.

I'm not saying that the administration is planning such an attack, just that there are many voices claiming such an attack is more than reasonable.

Stay tuned . . .

8. I have no problem with radical Christians.
There's nothing "radical" or "Christian" about dominionists and rapture-ism.

The subect of your post implies that Mark Hitchcock is a member of a group such
as Jesus Radicals or Dorothy Day Catholic Workers. He is not.

Next time use "right wing evangelical". Seriously, the subject line misled me.
