Did Bush Really Use the Word, "Irony?"
"See the irony is that what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this s--- and it's over."

I'm shocked. But I don't quite see how it's ironic.

1. Who can get Bush to stop doing this shit in Iraq?
Probably dozens of world leaders have said that.

3. The irony being Kofi is all concerned about a Lebanon-Israel ceasefire
because to Bush that's like, totally irrelevant, Syria needs to cease fire, in essence. Then Israel will stop shooting. Israel's just reacting in Bush's mind

4. He probably meant
we needed irons to hit them over the head, or something like that. I doubt if he understands what "irony" means.

14. Of course!
I don't usually play golf, so I forgot that certain clubs are called irons. Thanks for the correction! :hi:

15. Could be..
then again, it could reference the frying pan old Babs used to conk him with while reminding him that he screwed up the gin/vermouth balance in her martini.

5. There is ZERO possibility Chimp knows what irony is.
Although, as much as it grates on me to admit it, probably 70% of Americans don't either...an awful lot of people appear to think it's a synonym for
"coincidence."
