Forget impeachment......Bush and Co. MUST resign!
Edited on Tue Jan-17-06 01:56 PM by Cascadian
Unless the Dems can retake Congress back, then maybe we can consider impeachment, but I am beginning to think there may not be enough time to do this. I personallly think Bush and his goons should just step down. My hope is more people start to wake up and see what he and his criminal gang are doing and peacefully (I said PEACEFULLY) take to the streets and call for their removal from office. I can only imagine millions of people marching in Washington, D.C. calling for the Bush Administration to step down. Millions more in cities like New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, and Portland, OR. All not leaving until Bush and Co. resign.

I look at the movements to remove leaders in Serbia and the Ukraine and wish that people in this country would do the same thing. What is it going to take?

1. Maybe it's time
for that GENERAL STRIKE that was discussed here sometime last summer?

What do you think?

2. I Do Believe We Might Have to Do This
A GENERAL STRIKE will work only if most people participate. If not, we'll have a lot of Liberals out of a job!

4. Note well...
That without the threat of impeachment and removal from office there will never be a hope for resignation.

Do people actually think that ChimpCo will resign? Do people actually think that these lunatics would *ever* put the country above their remaining in power?

Let's make this clear right now. They will never resign. It is not in their make-up to put any consideration above their political goals, which are clearly to take complete and total control of the country to the exclusion of any and all opposition.

The only way we will be able to get these guys out of office is to *force* them out. Right now the only legal way that can happen is impeachment and trial in the Senate.

5. My biggest fear is that Bush would see that the people are revolting.....
and he would declare Martial Law on that point that the people have risen up. Kind of like a criminal being cornered holding a hostage at gun point.

14. Well said,
you beat me to it.

Anybody who thinks any action we can take is more important than winning the 2006 election is blind beyond words. IMO.

6. Bush will NEVER resign
How can anyone have watched him the last 5 years and think he ever would?

Short of him losing all his support among his INNER CIRCLE, it'll never happen...and I don't see that happening.

Bush is a spoiled brat who believes he DESERVES to be President, and NOTHING will get in his way...he won't ever admit to being wrong about anything, and will break any law to remain in power...

No way will he ever resign. Hoping for that is about as useful as hoping that the moon will spontaneously turn into cheese.

7. Ten million or so camped out on the White House lawn and vicinity, ought
to do it. A U.S. version of the Corazon Aquino peaceful revolution in the Phillipines that ousted Marcos.

9. from three weeks ago
Since the global peace meditation on October 29th, I've written well over 100 pages of revelatory stuff which is inclusive of now "19 tricks or Weapons of Massive Reconstruction for Global Amelioration." PM me if you'd like to see a 7 page version of the text.

Just to be topical here are the latest crafted 3 paragraphs:

"As the echo chamber quibbles over midterm elections and potential impeachment or mere spurious censure. With partisan control of 80% of the voting machinery, my curiously aquired sparkled & feathered "angelic & cosmic sledgehammer" tells me that is more than likely, a total long shot. We haven't time or resources to further fritter away for that much longer. We need these un-elected corrupt morons, & greedy selfish sadistic criminals to resign post haste. Consider demanding nothing less. I'll be watching for a while and then may just post plan C. You're all gonna love it : )

But here is a clue. . .when someone is continually lackadaisically incompetent and ignores rules long established, does one continue to keep that person in their employ. . .?

>snip

A greatly encouraging full page ad appeared in the much besmirched "Blue Lady" sponsored by the most "unpatriotic" ACLU a while ago. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/12/29/05855/837
When perchance did it become so unamerican to stand up for civil rites of individuals anyway? hmmmmm."

11. I want an impeachment
I want those bastards required to speak under oath under the threat of perjury if they lie.

Not that I expect even that to make them tell the truth. But when the truth does come out in 30 or 50 years, all the neocons' intellectual descendants will be shown to be following a pack of thieves and liars.

This is what passes for hope for me in these times.
