Believing in the rapture means never having to take responsibility
And our self-described "responsibility" president believes in it.

The deficit, the illegal occupation, global warming... it all means nothing if there is no common future, only a future in which the special chosen ones have all the responsibility of being a social being totally and completely lifted off their shoulders.

This is "leave your brain at the door" religion.

2. None of those nitwits really mean it. They would be the first to
jump in a lifeboat. If they had any courage at all they would have taken the gas pipe long ago.

3. it does help understand those who continue to support Bush though
Edited on Sat Jul-15-06 04:30 PM by JI7
you know how we always ask how could they support him with all the mess going on? well, it's what they WANT . they don't want anyone else who will stop this. to them , Bill Clinton's attempts at peace in the middle east went against what they wanted. everytime someone dies they get enjoyment out of it. when an innocent child gets killed, they get happy.

it's not that they think Bush is doing a good job of bringing freedom and democracy and whatever else to the middle east. they see exactly what we see. but because of their beliefs, it's what they WANT .

8. all you have to do is repent from your sins
and go and sin no more . . . .

And yes the true believes don't accept the concept of a future -- because just around the corner at any minute the rapture will come and take them away. Which is why bush so so dangerous -- and his cult members which includes the GOP.
