...and I assure you there would have been backup hardware, multiple server sites, and connections through multiple providers if I had.

a 13 hr outage should not happen. No excuses.

Should the worst happen, I would be up, slowly, from at least one of them in about an hour's time.

And that is with essentially no budget.

Should I ever get a real budget, I would have no downtime at all as you can set things up to fail-over to the working parts of the system.

It's just unsat for so many tech issues.... certainly in NYC there must be ONE firm that can provide security and redundancy...
