The ChimpCo administration is unravelling like a cheap, Chinese sweatshop sweater. There are now so many threads hanging loose from the garment that there's no longer any way for the Neocon knitters to keep the cloth whole.
This week is seeing events indicative of the extent to which chaos reigns in the ChimpCo regime. The entire Middle East is ever closer to plunging into general war. The Mexican elections. The oil crisis deepens. Stock market instability. Global warming problems: floods *and* parched earth. General death and destruction reigns down on all of ChimpCo's creations.
Into that chaos some individuals are doing their best to pull more threads from the garment. Remarkably, some of these events are from the neocon side. John Murtha. Cindy Sheehan. "An Inconvenient Truth." Lawsuits from Wilson/Plame and Kennedy/Papantonio. Colonel Wilkerson's comments. Rep. Hoekstra's comments. Endless useless legislation on flag-burning and gay marriage.
There must be many more threads on which we can tug. Let's do our best to have the whole damned sweater unravelled into a pile of tangled, filthy yarn.
As Yeats wrote, "Things fall apart; the center cannot hold."
It's time, folks. Let's keep pulling--together.
