But that word has been unused for the last several hours I've watched the news.

Obviously, it's terrorism. However, most Fox News viewers are probably clueless regarding the history of religous and political strife and terror in India.

7. Indian TV is referring to it as the "7/11 Blasts" so they obviously see
the connection as well. I won't be surprised if there indeed is one.

brings a completely stereotypical meaning to mind for me, which I will leave unnamed for the time being out of respect for the victims of the horrific tragedy that has just occcured in India...

8. I work with a lot of people from India
And they are referring to it as a terrorist act but not blaming al-queda, rather muslim extremists from Pakistan.
