Iraqi authorities identified the rape victim as Abeer Qassim Hamza. The other victims were her father, Qassim Hamza; her mother, Fikhriya Taha; and her sister, Hadeel Qassim Hamza.

And all the other victims of our "war" against a prostrate and helpless nation.

Her age as been quoted as ranging from 14 to 25!

2. Too young to be raped and murdered, whatever her age.

But, the latest I've heard is 14. Her sister was 6.

5. You're right, of course, but it's more serious when it happens to a child

and I suspect that the "mystery" about her age was manufactured in hopes of generating "consensual sex with a legal adult" defense.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Five U.S. soldiers were charged in a rape and multiple murder case that has outraged Iraqis, as documents obtained by Reuters on Sunday showed the rape victim was a minor aged just 14, and not over 20 as U.S. officials say.
