Brilliant film. I have great respect for Al Gore--but I can't help wondering, "where was this guy in 2000?"

If you have not seen it, rush to the theater.

If you have seen it, gather up friends and family, and take them to see it.

I think Al Gore was there, but his team didn't shine a bright light on his qualities. If he decides to run for President again I think he ought to get the producers of the film for his campaign managers and P/R consultants.

2. AHA!
ACTUALLY.....
I think he should get the writers and the creator of West Wing (Aaron Sorkin) to help run his campaign.
Why not?
Is it any kookier than anything else? We haven't tried it yet. It's not like they DON'T know what's going on or who everyone is or what it takes to run a campaign/write for it. I mean, you have to be inventive for plot twists. Why not in real life? Hell, the old way sure isn't getting it done, and the movie just proves AL is good when in front of a camera, and packaged in an entertainment-friendly way.
People love a show.
I'm just sayin'.

6. I want him to invent a time machine...
and turn it back to 2000 and undo the hell of the last six years. That's all.

7. He was camouflaged by the MSM just as Bush was.
Gore's integrity had been under continuous attack from the MSM who branded him a serial exaggerator at best or out right liar at worst with their own slanders against him ever since March of 99. You did not see the real Al Gore because the MSM hid him from view and replaced his image with a caricature. I believe they did this largely because AL empowered you when he championed the internet, they wanted to remain the sole gate keepers to the truth and Al had taken some of their power and gave it to the people.

Bush was the compassionate conservative that was going to bring honor and integrity back to the White House. Keep in mind integrity was a key issue in 2000 due to the eight year witch hunt of Clinton and the Lewinsky Scandal. Personally, I believe this was just a back door attempt to keep Al Gore from coming to power. The MSM went even further and over ruled them selves and their focus groups over night as to who won the debates. They never questioned Bush on his mistakes or lies during the debates. Their take was that Bush did better than his low expectations so he must have won, that is a hell of a way to pick a President, isn't it? The MSM and the RNC talking points were inseparable, the people were brain washed by this propaganda.

If you have virtually the entire MSM trashing and slandering you, I imagine you would find it very difficult to overcome this and present to the American People who you are.

8. Gore was always like this, but corpmedia would cast it as a deficit then
Edited on Sun Jul-09-06 02:22 PM by blm
and claim that Gore's 'lecturing' was a character flaw. And they would tout Bush's inarticulate manner as 'charming' and 'endearing' and 'authentic' ad nauseum.

Amazing how well the public can like and trust a Democrat when the corporate news media is unable to filter them.
