Gore is a Helluva speaker.
No more stiff, wooden delivery. He speaks totally without notes or teleprompter. My gawd, this guy is good.

No stumbling. No stuttering. Delivered with passion and emotion but not overly so.

Gore has become a master of language and speech.

YAGT == Yet Another Gore Thread.

3. Proof positive that you're never too old to learn.
I think he became depressed after the 2000 election, gained weight because of it, dropped out of the picture. (I don't know if this is true or not because I didn't pay much attention until chimpy started making noises about invading Iraq.) I think he pulled himself out of it when he saw what the shrub was doing. I think it gave him a new passion.

4. I was there. He was amazing.
He absolutely thundered at times.

"The Abramoff scandal is but the tip of the iceberg threatening the integrity of our government," he declared at one point.

He got an incredible number of standing ovations, particularly when he called on members of Congress of both parties to uphold the Constitution, then added "We the people collectively are still the key to the survival of American democracy."

Speaking of B*sh's rationale that all this spying is needed in the face of terrorism, Gore referred to other serious threats the US has faced, including the threat of fascism in WWII.
"It is an insult to past generations to imply that we have more to fear," he roared.
