price of crude? With the added bonus of Katrina's destructive force the oil Companies are in fat city. Now that the oil prices have came down from the extreme highs is the saber rattling in Iran cooked up to reinvigorate the gains? Do Iran and Saudi Arabia approve of the game?

oil price went from $20 in the 90s to a ~$74 extreme recently, has since dropped to ~$58 and risen again to the current $64.

so oil prices have "come down" from about 3.5 times the 90s price to 3 times the 90s price, and are rising as we speak.

Of course the price increase and war in an oil rich region of the world has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact tat most large oil fields are past production peak.
