I don't think releasing the tape is to anyone's benefit. It would hurt Jenna, who is in the spotlight because her father is president, not because she chose that place.

Anything like that sponsored by or arranged by democrats will only backfire. The public will feel sorry for her, not angry with her. Hell, it hasn't happened, I'm a democrat, and I feel bad for her already. Think about how women who are not liberals will feel about such a release.

witness Paris Hilton tape, Pam Anderson/Tommy Lee tape, etc etc. I don't believe The Democratic National Committee released any of those tapes.

On top of that, it's just wrong, whether it's Pamela Anderson or Jenna Bush, to release tapes without their consent. I don't hate Bush so much that I want to see his 20 something daugher humiliated.

To me this wouldn't be enough to justify releasing a tape like this. But what clinches it is that Jenna campaigned hard for the Chimperor and echoed the values crap. So, she is fair game.

I don't think we Democrats should make an issue out of it. I just want to see it made public.
