Bush just won't bring the guys to trial but will just continue to 'detain' them.

4. Announcing the disbandment of the SCOTUS?
He is probably not a happy boy today. The grown-ups who surround him must be in a big tizzy.

8. I think the press conference was planned before this ruling
A foreign minister of Japan is here and a news conference was planned for quite some time.

11. That would be the Prime minister of Japan
Not the foreign minister.

10. Very bizarre story on NPR this morning...
Apparently, the prime minister of Japan has the same birth date as Elvis -- so that's why he and GWB were going to Graceland. But the story on NPR went on and on about how close these two guys are, and actually -- it came off very romantic. Very.

12. he's basically whining
and saying he's gonna simply go ahead with military tribunals despite the courts decision by finding a way to legislate around it

13. Am I the only one who questioned the timing?
I say this because often when Bush holds these press conferences, daytime programming has been shut out and they cover him live. At least ABC has done this.

And guess who ABC's guest on The View was today? Yes, Al Gore. Fortunately, they didn't go to the press conference, but they did have a mysterious sound problem just before he was to come out. I guess I'm getting tin foil hattish today but I no longer put anything past the goons in the WH.
