"Lou Dobbs' program floated this same topic - Democrats Boycotting the elections because of BBV. This is tranparent play on the part of Rove and Bushco. WE MUST TURN OUT IN HUGE NUMBERS"

6. Sounds like a pre-emptive argument for "plausibly" narrowing the
gap so that elections can continue to be stolen. They'll put this meme out, to help explain last-minute "gains" by Rethug candidates.

16. Yep, "Plausibility" is a big big arrow in Rove's quiver.

Uses it *all* the time... Run up every poll to where it's just plausible that what they say is true. Method 1: "split" the opposition's message so that your guaranteed 30% looks competitive. Method 2: Suppress just enough of the opposition to make it look even. Method 3: Don't tell the opposition you've got a vote going so they miss it. I think there's a book around with more of these.

for Gerald Ford in 76. I was 22 at the time, and I liked President Ford; that was one decision Nixon made that turned out pretty good for the country.

10. And yet a recent poll indicates Democratic members are
more enthusiastic and determined to vote than Repubs. Hmm, I think someone is spinning.

12. It was on Lou Dobbs last night.....
there was a poll asking if you'd consider not voting in light of BBV. I thought it was very strangely worded and I pulled it up on Lou Dobbs' website this morning and voted on the poll. That was a couple of hours ago and they only had a little over 7000 votes....pretty small for one of his polls......just struck me odd that Lou would even suggest such a thing.

14. Why would Democrats boycott the elections?
I have NEVER heard any prominent or not-so-prominent Democrat advocate such a thing.

15. We've been urging everyone to vote by absentee ballot
It leaves a paper trail, and you don't have to provide an excuse or reason in Florida.
