2. David Shuster on, saying McCaskill is leading in Missouri by six points.
she's going to be on

talking about Felix Allen being in trouble in Va, as well

sure puts the lie to that CNN confab yesterday of their idiot talking heads, saying the dems are in disarray because of cut and run and flag burning

great segment by Shuster, as almost always

he's talking about Webb's going after Allen for swiftboating him!

36. He did okay with McCaskill...
Generally, when he interviews Dems he grills them like a halibut and then mocks their party. He didn't do any of this with her, so I suppose it was an okay interview.

Didn't care for Claire distancing herself from the Dems and saying she'd be 'independent' in DC...if that's the case, don't take any Democratic money.

He likely will end up doing more harm than good there with a veteran running against the incumbent for the Senate seat but we can be sure that he'll raise big bucks anyway!

i have been to the abbey pub many times. i used to go to see jim dewann play there. i took guitar lessons from him back in the 80s at the old town school. by that time i was living off clark street near foster.

did you ever see jim dewann and robbie fulks play?

i wasn't big into the irish folk scene ever, tho i did hang out at irish eyes once in a while. usually i was at biddy mulligan's on the north side or else in lincoln park at the earl's, holstein's, orphan's, lily's, wise fool's, or blue's on halsted back in the late 70's and early to mid 80s.

22. Well, the democratic house being bad for America remark was a clue.
Come on...he tried to be Mr. Nice guy, but he didn't try to be non-partisan. Basically he avoided most of the touchy stuff that he would have been hammered on by doing the stupid headlock stunt, and taking all that time to talk about how he's beating Colbert in the debate. He's a good republican...he knows how to run out the clock.

19. I have to admit, for Tweety, he was surprisingly tough on Delay
We all know Tweets "owes two" to Delay. So, I was surprised when he kept holding his feet to the fire over his hypocrisy regarding the NYT story. Delay was relegated to a stammering fool, and all he could do was flash that million-dollar mug-shot smile. It was actually pretty cool. Toughest I think I've ever seen ANY of them go on Bugman.

31. Stay tuned to see Tweets pimp himself. I watched the show at 5 pm
Watch toward the end when poor Tweety has to pimp his own appearance on The Colbert Report last night. ("See, Ma, how cool I am?") I'm guessing Tweets didn't feel the love since his short time acting stupid last night didn't warrant a Crooks and Liars or Canofun treatment. Nobody wants to see that pathetic attempt at Tweety trying to pretend to be "fair and balanced."

I watched Colbert last night and thought Tweety came across as a complete, giggling asswipe who contributed nothing at all to the show. Why was he on the show - no book, lame show, Tweets needs to go up against Crazy Zell and leave the professionals alone. He was bland, boring, and dense. He even had to proclaim to himself on camera that he was ahead on points against Colbert. Do what? He practically broke his arm patting himself on his back - just like he does on his show. Not feeling the love so he has to stroke himself to feel good.

Colbert didn't even bother to tee up his best schick against Tweety - just passed the time until the end of the show because the Tweetmeister was just so out classed that Colbert took pity on him. Tweety is just as dull as dishwater off Nerfball as he is on.
