1. YouTube has no revenue stream- they were built to sell out.
With Web 2.0, data mining, and the ability to use PROMIS-like software to collect and coolate data about individual U.S. citizens (supposedly for marketing and advertising purposes) from hundreds if not thousands of harmless "free" websites you will start seeing more of these companies turning to "unusual" methods of revenue. And when I say "unusual" methods, I mean selling the meticulous ly-gathered data on each visitor for sale to the highest bidder or National Security Agency.

2. YouTube is pretty much doomed IMO..
Nobody wants to support them with advertising because the content can't be controlled. e.g. Ford doesn't want to be associated with a video of a guy shooting a bottle rocket out of his butt.

It's too bad, because I love the site.

4. Shameless plug : my movie site
If you want commercial-free entertainment, my website, http://www.fanflicks.com/ hosts films by independent filmmakers. In the past I've offered video bloggers free bandwidth / space and this offer is still out there. Contact information is on the website. Thanks!
