Kabul - US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice Wednesday promised victory in the war against terror in Afghanistan, saying US-led coalition forces would not be deterred by a resurgent Taliban.

'We are not going to tire, we are not going to leave. They (al-Qaeda and Taliban) should know we're in this fight until it is victoriously concluded,' Rice told a press conference following talks with Afghan President Hamid Karzai in Kabul.
