13. My mother a devout Catholic Republican says we should nuke them

She first stated this over three years ago when the Iraqis would not to submit to our occupation. She said something to the effect that they would be better off because they didn't have anything anyway. She tends to bring up subjects that her and her Republican friends have been discussing recently.

5. That's what we used to say in the navy back in the 60's and early 70's.

Except back then it was regarding Vietnam. "Nuke the Gooks," "nuke 'em all let god sort 'em out," all that kind of macho bullshit spewed from macho jerkoffs. And yes, back then I was one one of them. I managed to grow out of it after I pulled my first burned up corpse out of an F-4 phantom that crashed on the flight deck after a sortie; the start of my education on what a disgusting waste war is.

Sad to say, most people don't grow out of it.

Glad to see we have come so freakin' far in the past thirty years and learned from all of our mistakes.
