Three Strikes and you're out, Harry
As a leader, Harry Reid sucks. In less than a month, he has comitted three blunders.

He voted for Hayden, a man who openly supports Bush's ILLEGAL spying.
He voted against the Kerry-Feingold resolution, leading to more pointless deaths in Iraq.
Now, he voted for the flag burning ban, almost succeeding in limiting our free speech.

Is this the type of person we want representing our party? He may make a good speech now and then but if he isn't actually going to do anything that doesn't matter. He has been a big disapointment and needs to go.

2. The Right-Wing Democrats are co-opting the progressives !!
Kos has become a pawn of these people, a real banner for the leaders of the Democratic Party.

And you know what -- we can't barely do ANYTHING about it?

They don't have to worry about being too conservative for our tastes -- who else will we vote for? You vote for a Green, your fellow Dems will hang you. They only have to cater to the moderate Republican swing voters or something like that.

The Democrats can abandon the left all they want.

Only in rare instances like with Lieberman are there actually movements to make them respect our will.

3. Replace him...
with Russ Feingold after the corporations, DLC and the Repubs all team up to tank his presidential nomination, of course...

4. I don't think Russ is too progressive for the corporatecrats
We're not talking about Kucinich here. Russ is more progressive than most but he's also a straight white male, Jewish, reasonably well off, and not too anti-establishment. They'd probably let him through.

5. Yeah, but it lost. ---Could be crazy like a fox.
Reed's 'moderate', but he's a fighter.

The vote probably wasn't as close as the vote, if you see what I mean. So long as there were 34 NOs, it didn't matter what anyone else did. So, some Dems could vote YES, if that helps them in the Fall and it doesn't mean squat.

And the Dems can't have this hung around their neck quite so easily.

7. Even factoring in his lack of power to really do anything
I've found his performance underwhelming.

But then, he really doesn't have a lot to work with.

8. I haven't been impressed with him but
when it comes to having a spine he looks great compared to an invertebrate like Daschle and when it comes to brains he looks like a fuckin MENSA member next to his repuke counterpart Catkiller Frist.

9. Ahem
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x1518951

And also I thank him for:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=1511644&mesg_id=1511644

He has his moments.

Remember when he shut down the Senate?

He's a tad more Conservative than some would like. And I do wish he would stop butting heads with some of his progressive colleagues, like Kerry for instance.

Still and all, he has his moments.
