"Time to go to journalism school" Frank Rich taunts ex Bush speech writer
Edited on Mon Jun-26-06 05:23 PM by Humor_In_Cuneiform
It took place on CNN's Reliable Sources Sunday:

There's a link to the video, this was so great to see cause Frank Rich of the New York Times ridicules David Frum very well.

'..."The grammar of the story as I see it reported suggests that information came to the Times first," Frum said. "If they could have gone to the other two papers and said 'We went to the Times and they agreed that this would be putting the nation's safety and security at risk that would have been...'"

"As far as I know everything you said is fictional," countered Rich. "I've seen nowhere that said the Times neccessarily had it first."

After Frum talked about "reading the grammar" again, Rich ridiculed him and asked if he meant "code" or "holding it up to the light with lemon juice."

"Frank that's cute," Frum responded.

"Time to go to journalism school, guy," Rich said near the close of the segment...."

1. I think I just saw of CNN that there were negotiations between the NY
Times and the WH for months.. on the bank records story. Is that the story they are talking about?

2. It is the bank records story, yes. Frank Rich said that
the admin didn't ask the NY Times to not publish it as it did the LA Times and Wall Street Journal.

But the admin, according to Frum, should prosecute only the NY Times cause he can tell from the GRAMMAR of the 3 stories that the NY Times had it first. Amazing what powers of discernment the guy must have (or thinks he has).

It is a very interesting little story, plus you can watch the exchange between Rich and Frum.

5. Yes, he remained poised and amused by the frothing
David Frum. It was inspiring to see a right wing nut being appropriately batted about.

7. Without a doubt what right wingers hate morethan anything is to be
mocked, or laughed at

It drives them crazy

We should make a point of mocking them more often

8. Yes, agreed. It must be done well and with good reason in
order to really work.

But goodness knows they present themselves as such great targets, as witness Colbert, Jon Stewart, and the late night shows.

Doing it to their face on the talk shows would be much better.

Seems like they're trained to talk over any liberal, to outscream them and not let them get a word in.

Hmm, that skill shouldn't be too hard to acquire, nor to learn to combat.

4. Thick as a brick
Was so proud of authoring the phrase "Axis of EEEEVIL" he couldn't stop preening about it in public and got booted from the administration he loved. Whatta maroon.

I've never seen anyone who looked like computer-generated animation the way Frum does. It's really eerie to watch him.

6. There is something really creepy about Frum. So he is the idjut
that helped * do so much damage with just 3 words.

I do hate those people today, I feel such hatred and loathing towards them.

I suppose because in the last coupla weeks they have been showcasing themselves in the full "splendor" of their right wing nut, corrupt, PR relishing, photo Op'ing, incompetent, indifferent, insensitive, uncaring, exploitive, immoral, amoral, lying, and bullying ways.

9. Like Hitchens and Sullivan, we had to import his idiocy
Frum was born Canadian, naturalized in 2002.
