In Case Y'all Missed It, Wanda Sykes Just Dissed Bush On Network TV
Right after the ball dropped. On NBC. They were talking about all the new reality celebrity shows that will probably pop up on 06, and she said "Well with Bush Spyin on everybody he'll probably have his own reality show" or somethin like that.

She totally called him out on his illegal spying. On national network tv. On New Years. Broadcast to millions.

Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEARS TO ALL OF DU, I'D BE LOST WITHOUT YOU ALL!!!

:toast:  :grouphug: :woohoo:

She likened George Bush to a retarded child who eats ice cream with a fork at birthday parties.

Sorry bout that. I see from the posts below that you have some pics of her now and stuff. She's a hilarious comedianne that tells it like it is and is funny as friggin hell. She had her own sitcom not too long ago but unfortunately it was cancelled, even though I thought it was hilarious!

Happy new year 0007!

She was humorous in that, but they REALLY toned her down. When doing her own material, she is hilarious.....

it's hilarious. One of my favorite passages went something like this:

Correct if I'm wrong but didn't we get rid of one president for breaking into hotels rooms & another one for lying about who he had sex with?. Last time I checked lying to us to justify a war trumps breaking into hotels & blow jobs.

48. She talks shit about everybody lol
but mostly Bush & the war. I can't remember it all but here's a few things.

Abortion & choice.
Martha Stewart shouldn't have been jailed while the Enron CEO was free.
Michael Jackson didn't molest as many boys as the Catholic church.
Athletes should be able to do steroids, shoot up on the field or snort during halftime. As long as they give us a good game to watch it shouldn't matter what they do.
Gay marriages & straight divorces.
Bill Clinton & his blow job. She said he was patriotic for keeping it in the house. LOL

It's definitely worth the money.

30. Wasn't she a Bush supporter?
Back in the days when I used to watch a little Fox News, I remember her on H&C spinning for Bush, and promising that he would win in a landslide.

Maybe her instincts as a comedian told her that Bush is just easy to make fun of, and that people like to laugh at Baby Bush when he's at 43% in the polls.

...absolutely NO WAY IN HELL. Wanda Sykes is and has been for as long as I can remeber an outspoken critic of Republicans. She takes a slap here and there at Democrats, but she's participated in fundraisers and been quite the activist. No, I really don't think she was on Hannity and Colmes.

I don't know how he is as a person but he seems okay. I've heard from others on website's and stuff that he's a poser. He tries to be someone different depending on the guest he had when he was on TRL. Like if it was a rapper he'd try to be gangsta and if it was a more alternative rock person he'd be like them. He had an okay show with "Last Call." I used to watch it but it got boring after a while.

She did this past season, and I hope she'll be in more in '06.

I don't know what's going on with the show she had on Comedy Central (is it cancelled?) But it was great, with an excellent premise.

Why Comedy Central would keep that lame-ass "Blue-collar TV"--a 7th-rate, booger-picking burlesque rehash--and cancel Wanda is a mystery as baffling as why we still at this late date have an enormous idiot and his criminal butt-buddies fucking around in the White House.

She could have said she had, appearing only on New Year's Rockin Eve, a video of a three way she had with natalie portman and Charlize Theron while Angelina Jolie and Jessica Alba necked in the background, complete with narration from Jenna Jameson on the tape with Ron Jeremy giving an introduction and I wouldn't have given a crap.

Wanda Sykes is as funny as colon cancer.

at her comment about dropping negroes down the pole, but then decided to laugh. She was great. She just seems to channel whatever is going on inside of her. Right before the ball drop she started out on a rant about 1965 which lead to dropping negroes. It was shockingly hilarious. She says stuff no one else is brave enough to say.

When did you first realize you were funny and wanted to be comedian?

WS: Actually, I majored in marketing and I have a bachelor of science. I suck at chemistry (laughs); the hard sciences, no. I guess it hit me- early on I always was a fan of comedy, but to actually go, 'okay, I'm going to go and become a comedian and pursue this thing,' was when I was working at the National Security Agency, at the NSA, and I was just bored silly and I felt like I was stealing form the tax payers. I was like, 'I don't belong here.' I mean, there could be someone who really wants this job and would probably be doing a better job at it, and I remember reading my high school yearbook and just like every entry someone made a comment about 'thanks for being so funny,' even my teachers, 'thank you for making class so much fun,' 'you should be on stage,' and I heard about a talent show and comedy was one of the categories and I said, 'you know, I'm going to write some material.' I sat down and wrote some jokes and went to the talent show, got up on stage, fell in love with it and never turned back.

What did you do at the NSA?

WS: I was a contracting specialist. I pretty much shopped all day, basically. Instead of shoes, I bought radar equipment.

Do you still have your security clearance?

WS: No, I'm sure it's expired by now. Shoot, that was back in '87.

65. Wanda, will you marry me!
PM me for my phone number. ;)

Funny how Bush spies on us, but his administration hasn't answered a single question it's been asked.

The public is to be spied on. The administration is to be a secret.

Hm. Sounds like fascism to me.

75. But that's the beauty of open-source...

the phpBB developers respond very well with security fixes. It should be noted that phpBB is the victim of so many attacks because it is very very popular.

79. Stand up comic
I knew her about 10 years ago when I was doing stand up, before she had really made it. She was very nice and laughed at my jokes too. : )

85. And The BEST Line From Her Tongue Untied Special (Please Read)
In reference to Bush's High approval ratings (this is old, obviously) and during the midwest wildfires, she said during the special:

"Makes sense to me; he's done everything I expected: The economy's in the toilet, we're at war, and everything's on fire!"

She cracked my ass up with that line!
