2. It's a bubble story

The truth is that the American people are smart enough to figure that getting one man doesn't solve our problems in Iraq. Kind of comforting in a way.

3. I had a client come by the day that was reported

He was all excited and thought it meant that things were all gonna be ok now and that the war would basically be over. I just kind of looked at him and said "I hope you are right, but I really don't think this changes anything at all". He just sort of unwillingly acknowledged that was probably true. He's a FauxNews devotee, and even the 24/7 propaganda is not making 'true believers' out of a lot of their viewers. His 'optimism' was easily displaced with a grudging acknowledgment of the reality of this disaster.
