pResident in bush*. I don't know about anyone else but I am ready for another smart President. Al Gore, Russ Feingold or Wes Clark, any one of the three would make me one happy dry land sailer.

1. Everyone I know shakes their head is disbelief when they hear
Clinton speak, with a variation on the comment: "Wasn't it great to have a President who could actually complete an intelligent thought and communicate it in actual comprehensible speech?" We miss ya' Bill. Chimpy is grating on the ears, not to mention the psyche.

4. not trying to start an argument, but I don't miss Bill Clinton at all
Compared to *, there is no comparision, but what he did with the telecommunications act of 1996, and paving the way for NAFTA and huge mergers is nothing to cheer about. Perhaps there is a reason he is so friendly to old man bush?

Just my opinion which won't even buy you a cup of coffee

9. I like opinions my opinions your opinions everybodys opinions
if we listen to these varied opinions we are all the better for it. For instance I have learned more about the Big Dog since I have come here and it is because I read others opinions and try to keep an open mind. Not one opinion will change my opinion but several will if you get my drift. Anyways I'll have a cup of coffee on you in the morning, thanks. because your opinion is as important as mine. the important part is the sharing of that.
peace

2. Feingold, Gore, and Clark are smart, and better than Clinton ever was
What Clinton did with Nafta and the Telecommunications act of 1996, handed the repukes just what they wanted, and helped empower the bastard bushco who controls this country, and may destroy our republic

5. Amen to that!
Someone explain to me how the shrub is getting away with everything????
And Clinton wasn't even a real Democrat, hell he was more like a moderate Republican, if you ask me.
Clinton would have been crucified 12 times with his head on a pike for all to see if he had ordered an illegal invasion of sovereign nation.

8. when reagan got rid of the equal time doctrine that was the start
of our problems, and Clinton unfortunately did not do anything to remedy the situation when he had the chance. In fact the telecommunication act of 1996 actually hurt us. Hopefully, the pendulum will start to swing back. I cannot believe that people ll continue to put up with hate radio that is broadcast from the right practically twenty four hours a day

Thank god for the internet

I'm sorry to tell you that hate radio started in the fifty's. One of the early one's was Joe Pine, but there were others. Even back then they were after the NE elite.

21. Re: hate radio
But in those days, there was the Fairness Doctrine, which mandated that equal time had to be given for opposing viewpoints. That's what makes current hate radio so damaging--very little aside from AAR is combating the lies and hate.

27. Clinton was unfortunately too concerned about politics
I think that he justified a lot of things by saying that Democrats needed to do everything to stay in power because things would be a lot worse with Republicans in office.

But as many negative things as you can say about Clinton, he at least considered everything that he did very carefully. He listened to different people and different ideas even when he disagreed with them. He did at least try to do what was right. Also, he had arguably the worst opposition congress since Andrew Johnson.

I hate to disappoint you, but Bush isn't stupid. He's probably smarter than most of us. Doesn't mean he's right, of course. He's not. He makes stupid decisions. But don't make baseless claims. You can still be very smart and make VERY stupid decisions.

BTW-He does do "Bushisms". But still a lot better than most internet users :)

33. Not Sure
He's a good (bad person, sure) politician, which takes some large amount of skill. Being a politician may seem really easy, but it requires a TON of ability, craftiness.
He went to Yale. Granted, he paid his way into there. But still, getting a degree there still requires a lot of work.

BTW-I still have no reason to know that he is stupid. I've heard that everywhere but never seen actual proof. My brother is a genius, yet he is now 26 and wandering around the world doing nothing in paticular while he has huge debts at home. Give me his school scores or something like that and I'll concede defeat.

or any other "scientific, evidence-based proof." His demeanor, his inability to link thought and language, his pin-ball-like movement through jobs and his adult life, given that he is the Pretzeldent of the US, say sit all. Or as the bumper sticker said, "A thousand points of light, and we got the dim one."

of Texas shows how deranged he really is. He enjoyed the cries of those near execution as they begged for their lives. Probably made him feel warm and fuzzy to hear the pleadings. Yet he sits down with serial killer Henry Lee Lucas to chit chat about Henry's killing spree. He is a psychopath.
