So far as I know anyway. What you have here is Christopublicanism (sometimes known as "fundementalist Christianity"), a derivative of Christianity that exists because of and in close symbiosis with, extreme right politics. It bears very little resemblance to traditional Christian principles or values but quite a lot of resemblance to some of Christianity's greatest mistakes (i.e. the Inquisitions).
In Christopublicanism, god exists but he is a lower deity. Christopublicanism is dedicated to the worship of "free-market economics" (aka "voodoo economics", "trickle-down economics" and "terrible economics") and Ronald Reagan. God is to be worshipped but only in so far as he made it possible for Reagan to become president. George W. Bush (aka "Chimpy McCokespoon") is the annointed spiritual son of Ronald Reagan and a deity in his own right (this is that "fully god/fully man" thing that I don't understand). The position of source of all evil (held by the devil in conventional Christianity) is occupied by William J. Clinton. To the Christopublican, it is a tenet of faith that God is always on their side because they could not prevail unless God was on their side therefore, any means are permissible to ensure they prevail. It is also a tenet of faith that Christopublicans declare they are worshipping god rather than Reagan/Bush despite all evidence to the contrary. Certain noteworthy Christopublican preachers include Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage. It even has it's own television channels.
Christopublicanism is, contrary to appearences, not conservative. Rather, it has no objection to sweeping aside generations of accepted tradition and practice so long as what is swept away is replaced by hardcore right-wing values. Christopublicans wish to see same-sex marriage banned and preferably, homosexuality outlawed not because the Bible says these things are wrong (although they will loudly scream that this is why, another tenet of faith) but purely because they dislike them and feel the world should live up to their standards. Although it originated in the southern USA and inhereted much of the anti-intellectualism, wilfull and prideful stupidity, simplistic worldview, aggressive tendancies and sodding huge chip on the shoulder sometimes associated with rural dwellers, Christopublicanism now constitutes a huge political power and effectively runs the USA.
