Really, I read what is coming out of the Missouri Republican leadership
and I am a bit freaked out by how loose a grip on reality they have.

Kansas republicans are bleeding, they are literally defecting to the democratic party
in horror and disgust. They will do a grand jette a droight as the moderate republicans
leave in droves. That means as odd as it sounds, that Kansas is going to go blue, because
there are just not enough Klein repubs to counter balance WyCo, Prairie Village, and Lawrence.

And who's to say how things will play out this year with Rove's target group, in light of
Abramoff/Reed/Norquist/Cunningham/Nay/DeLay/Hastert/Frist/Rove/Scooter/Cheney freak show. This will be the most complex
legal proceeding since Beria went after the Wreckers. It already smells to high heaven, I mean like somone dumped in the incense burner.

No I am not going to argue for the Freepers. They are crazy. I would just like to point out at this point that I do totally disagree with the Freepers. Buffets money will be put to some good use. I say some good because I think Buffet's money could have been put to better use here in America. I have no problem helping children in the third world, but at times I get a little upset that so many people want to give to causes in the third world while ignoring the problems here. I understand that children in the third world are starving, but does anyone at DU and throughtout America realize that many kid throughout the U.S would be starving also if not for school programs that feed kids during the summer months. If not for these programs it is possible that many American school kids would not be getting any healthy food during the summer.

I do not think Buffet should have tried to feed all these kids. I think he should have given money to pay for the college education of young people. I did the calculation and if you divided Buffet's supposed $42 billion fortune by $40,000 Buffet could have paid the college tutition and room and board for more than 1 million kids (1,050,000 to be exact). I know that Buffet is not giving away his whole fortune so $42 billion is a bit much, but Buffet could have just paid for the tutition or part of the tutition of college students. Maybe he could have given the money to kids who were below a certain level of wealth. That way kids who needed the money could have gotten the money.

Finally, I know that this is Buffet's money and he can do whatever he wants. However, I would have just liked it if he and some others would spend more money here in America trying to help America's less fortunate.
