So what are we going to do ?
I hate sitting here in what seems like limbo . I wish something would happen to get us into action . There are many times I just want to pack up and hit the road and cross borders to find some relief from the hell this has become . I feel any effort made directly by me will end as a single effort of my own doing . I certainly don't have answers other than to ask what others intend to do if this continues and some suggestions but that's about it .

There were large protests from the start when bush stole the first election on his inaugural day but this did not get air time in the lousy news we seem to be left with .

Here we knew the 2000 elections were stolen and people were outraged , especially in the states like Florida and Ohio , to make matters worse not only did not on senator stand up for the blacks votes when they has the chance but John Roberts was right there trying to harass the recount and now they allow this slime to become a lifetime seat in the supreme court , and both times the dems sat back , the very ones that are supposed to represent us , such representation , it was useless and a slap in the face .
Suddenly Moore make the documentary and then the people bashed this around and all were quiet . I'm certain the people who's vote did not count are still pissed but they are forgotten and tossed aside even by the rest of the democratic voters . Then the freaky scum bush steels 2004 only this time we can't "whine" even though we know damn well this was stolen we are supposed to shut up and accept this . And guess what we did and then Katrina and the same thing happens .all is excused GOD HAS SPOKEN .

All along we were feed and still are told the lies about 9/11 and this we are not supposed to talk about or we are labeled nut cases and should be not only ignored but silenced which fits perfectly with the silence we had to endure with the stolen elections . All through this was the attack on Iraq and the horrors or this occupation and still here we are now listening to flag burning and gay marriage while they grandstand to support letting the troops continue to stay their insane course and remove the hope for a minimum wage increase . All the while jobs continue to be shipped out or large companies close even more plants laying off thousands .

You would think with all this and by this time people would be armed and dangerous but through this last 5 1/2 years of hell we have somehow been taught that it's ok to be ignored and it's ok to sit in silence because anything else is futile when it's not . And in november the same thing will happen I fear , next it will be the hope aimed at 2008 and by then if not sooner all hope will have been murdered .

Sure there are new progressive politicians with high hopes but in a very real sense this is their career at stake , they need to keep going with what little hope they may have but this does up no good at the moment and this may never materialize into a form of a power swing .

So yes I wish something would explode into action because right now people who don't feel this must be doing just fine and think they have security and time . I for one do not have this option , I don't believe in waiting until the lake is dry before doing something to prevent this .

The news , well they should save the paper to wipe their rears with it and the tv news is a joke and a waste of electric energy . We may as well let the max security prison inmates run the country for what we have got now . A we the people should be sheared as sheep for putting up with this . Apathy is what we have become except for a few and fear holds onto the rest .

1. Yes we may be totally screwed
But as I see it, the old ways are dying and if you know where to look , and look closely you will see that a new world is also being born,

And we are deep in the birth pangs right now, and yes, it is quite painful and sad to see all we have known,dying..............

But at the same time there are many catching on to a more spiritual way of being,

So there is Hope.

3. I compare it with debriding an old wound.... it's extremely painful to
remove that old, infected and dying tissue from the surface, so that the newly forming young tissue hidden underneath can start to heal and flourish.

Events over the last 45 years have crushed our spirits and demoralized us as a country.

Viet Nam. The struggle for civil rights and women's rights. Losing young people at Kent State. Losing John F. Kennedy. Losing Bobby Kennedy. Losing Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Nixon years. The Reagan years. The GHWB years. Iran-Contra. Negroponte's death squads in Latin America. GHWB's Gulf War I. The personal attacks on a President by a rabid House of Representatives.

Election thefts 2000, 2002, 2004. Subversion of the will of the people. GWB's illegal and unwarranted invasion of Iraq. The corruption of three branches of our government, simultaneously. The sell-off of our natural and human resources by faceless corporations that somehow claim the same rights as persons.

Torture of prisoners. Extraordinary rendition of detainees. Guantanamo. Warmongering. Intimidation of the UN. GWB's Katrina failure. Willful ignorance and derision of global climate change. The steady march to dismantle the foundation of our government.

Mammoth budget deficits. Deliberate destruction of America's middle class. Loss of our Constitutionally protected civil rights. Loss of our privacy rights.

A corrupt and complicit media.

Loss of our nation's standing in the world because of George W. Bush's war of illegal aggression.

2500+ American soldiers lost. 100,000+ innocent Iraqis lost.

Wanton and arrogant destruction of the dignity of the Office of the President of the United States of America.

War. Death. Deficits. Greed.

Yes, we are in tremendous pain. But we will heal. We, the people, will make it happen.

We will never give up this fight.

2. We can start by voting. It'd have been a LOT harder for them to steal
those elections if the Dem numbers had been higher.

They can only steal but so many votes. We could overwhelm them with higher vote counts.
