The Young Men In Miami Were, In Part, Recruited & Aided By Our Government
to violence against American targets.

They were exploited just like they would have been by any other organization bent on hurting our country and our interests.

I wonder just how much of the 'planning' was initiated by the 'informants'?

1. That's exactly what I've been asking since I heard the FBI had infiltrated
Wasn't there a "terror" case in NY somewhere where the informant/mole had encouraged the "terrorist" to consider joining a bomb plot?

2. The new york case was a doozie, agents both sold and bought!
Government agents approached this guy and offered to sell him a missile, then another government agent approached him and offered to buy the missile, he was a middleman between two government agents. Then they arrested him.

12. Was this the guy that was the jeweler?
Seems to me that I read somewhere that a jeweler and his son were involved in selling missiles to the Palestinians.

Another jeweler was accused last week of laundering drug money for his celebrity clients who came from all over America to buy bling and hide millions of dollars in drug money. Wonder where Haliburton hid the 9 billion that is missing?

4. aledged Miami conspiracy
I haven't read about any crimes committed down there. Any discussions of a Sears Tower conspiracy has been just that. Where is hard evidence? We are going to hear and see many more instances of "Reichstag" conspiracies from our incumbent Facisist Decider.

24. Looking at their photos, they don't look like the typical clean
cut and proper Black Muslim. Maybe things have changed since the early days of the movement.

5. The indictment says the informant had to furnish the camera
and a rental van so they could take pictures of the targets.

Then in May the 'ringleader' told him he was having 'problems in his organization' but he was still up for the cause.

:eyes:

sounds to me that this 'informant' (our government) was helping them more than anyone. They were asking for guns, boots, money etc from the informant.

They were selling shampoo and hair grease outside the ware house to make money.

this is total bull

9. Were they asking
for guns, boots, money etc or were those items offered by the 'informant'?

10. my guess is that the informant offered "assistance"
and once he started supplying some things (camera, rental van, boots) the requests got bigger (machine guns, vehicles, bulletproof vests and $$$)

11. the most revealing are the 'recon' photos allegedly taken of targets
with a camera (offered?) supplied by the govt. 'informant'

13. If these guys had to ask for such basics as cameras and boots,
how then did they get to Chicago to take pics of the Sears Tower? Or was that what the van was for?
I wonder if those guys had ever even heard of the Sears Tower before the informant got to them.

6. My first thought, when I heard of this was
"My god, what is this? 1969 and the Black Panthers?"

I have to wonder just how much the development of this 'terrorist cell' is a result of suggestions and ideas planted by the informer. Is this like then, when the informer planned the robberies, provided the guns? If the informer had simply gone along and nodded his head, would they have done any more than bitch about the war?

It reminds me of the old story about Tsarist agents infiltrating a communist cell before 1905 - and finding that the top three members of the cell, all three being the most active, violent and provocative members, were all Tsarist agents.

15. Makes me wonder why these infiltrators are not infiltrating the
white supremacist crowd...they are ones with the machine guns and explosives.

14. This reminds me of
the Canadian terrorist plot from a few weeks ago. That was entrapment because the mounties offered to sell them ammonium nitrate to build truck bombs.

19. My mother just called me
"Are you watching the news?" She asks. "No," I say. "Well, there's a case of 'homegown terrorists' in Florida (my sister lives down there), and, tell me I'm not crazy, but I think it was all just a set up by our government..."

My mother is in her late 70's, doesn't have access to the internet, and is essentially confined to her apartment with only a local paper and her cable TV. She sees right through this stuff.

I read her some of the responses from this thread and another, and told her, "No, Mom, you are NOT crazy!"

They sent in Agents to spur violent actions then arrested Klan members.
