Poll question: Who has seen "An Inconvenient Truth?"
I've never posted a poll, and I've finally found a topic to poll about. Indulge me.

2. It'll never show here, but I might be able to view it on dvd if
they'll do an early release. This is a subject that shouldn't have to wait six months before release.

4. Agreed...
And there are unfortunately still lots of people who don't believe that the survival of us all is at stake, even with the map showing what will happen to the coastal cities when the ice caps melt. Sigh.

3. Haven't seen it
Won't go out of my way to see it either. I don't find that truth to be inconvenient, so.

14. Duh! I was you Marmar!!
Sorry. I've been zipping around threads this a.m. and not paying close enough attention. Thank you so much for posting the listings. I did not know where to find info and I suspect that it will not be heavily promoted in my area. Thanks again.

Can't afford the night out - movie tickets plus a sitter? Not this year. I'm sorry to say that I have to wait for the DVD.

16. I saw it last night!!!!!
It was incredible. Awesome. So was Al Gore. I knew it would be good, but it blew me away! I want to see it again!

Watching Al Gore made me sad though, because this is the man who won the election and should have been president. If only we had someone with his intellect and humanity at the helm, how different things would be.

17. You need an 'other' category
For instance, I haven't seen it, have no plans to go and see it, but expect it will appear on British TV at some time, and might watch it then. I suspect it won't tell me much (anything?) about global warming that I don't already accept, since I've seen them on British TV already, or read about them; though it may tell me things about Al Gore I don't know - the more interesting aspect of it, to me.

18. Took the whole family
Afterwards, our 7-year old said that "everyone in the world should see this movie!"

We've been talking about it for days, and the kids are now interested in getting involved in something locally.

19. I asked my teenage daughter what she thought of it
She said, it's the scariest movie I ever saw.

Let's hope this is seen by millions, because this is just one of those topics that everyone (sane) agrees is a problem, but it seems too vast to deal with. The movie is a great motivator.

I saw the guy who made Who Killed the Electric Car on TV last weekend, and that movie is going to infuriate a lot of people. Big business is going to just let things go the way they are going because they will not let their profits be limited in any way.

I told the kid about the electric car and what happened and she said, they can't do that, can they? Yes, they can and they did.
