Who wants to bet that the BIG terrorist story from Miami is BOGUS?
The story is appearing more and more to be merely a set-up of some dumb schmucks in Miami. How simple would it be in America to find some mentally unbalanced individuals to set-up as terrorists?

This event also seems to be manufactured so that BushCo can unleash their media dogs to howl and bay about AL QUEDA/Terrorism/9-11/FEAR! You can bet that this manufactured arrest will be used to soften up Americans to the idea that there are hordes of HOME GROWN "subversives" that have to be dealt with by eliminating what is left of the Bill of Rights.

7. Exactly what DH & I were saying this morning, I thought it
immediately upon hearing the news last night & never mentioned it until this morning when he said he doubted it. I simply don't believe anything on the news any more, they are just part of the orchestrated manipulation by our gov't.

We've got to have a boogieman, or we'll all start questioning the billions of dollars that are going towards this neverending war against terrorists---while everything else goes down the toilets.

8. Yeah, Bushco has just snagged a page from the Drug Warriors playbook
Set up a bunch of dumb malcontents, who left to themselves would be harmless. Pump them up with enough money and support so that it looks like a big time operation. Then pull the rug out from under them and crow, crow, crow about how well you're doing your job. Also, in this case, it allows you to instill more fear and loathing into a society that had become complacent.

I imagine we'll see more of this in years to come. Sad to see how far this country has fallen.

11. Even Brian Ross of ABC speculated FBI informant may have instigated it
On ABC's Good Morning America when asked about the seriousness of the threat, investigative reporter Brian Ross said in order to judge, we would have to know more about the FBI infiltrator's role and if he instigated the plot.

13. Certainly a Set-up
I heard on a radio report this morning that these poor schmucks were arrested after they tried to contact al Qaida ... but were instead actually talking to an FBI undercover agent posing as a member of al Qaida.

Now, really. How do you "contact" al Qaida?

Are they in the Yellow Pages?

Do you Google "al Qaida email"?

Do you look for a' Muslim-looking person' and ask them for directions?

This has set-up written all over it.

But on my local rightwing radio station this morning (KHOW in Denver), the host is pumping this up as a reason to be scared, to be worried about Muslims, to be backing Bush in Iraq, etc.

So, certainly, it is a political set-up.

And, unfortunately, the impression I'm getting is that it will work -- the Rove 2006 "scare them into voting Republican" strategy is underway.

:puke:

I work with many Bahamians so I recognize common Bahamian names. They're probably pissed at bush for his treatment of Bahamians versus Cubans.

31. Yes, on one of the propaganda networks last night...
they said that anyone with a computer and an internet hook-up can get in touch with Al-Qaeda and plan schemes against the United States.

So, I guess our big brother government will have to keep monitoring our activity, eh?

17. Right now its just a hunch I have but I don't think the
American people are buying this one. Cointelpro used to pull this same entrapment hoax in the 60's and 70's. I could be wrong but I doubt it's terror, and I think the majority Americans doubt it as well. In any case how does this mesh with "we are fighting them over there"? It doesn't.

18. It doesn't matter
whether or not the American People buy it or whether or not it gets out the vote in November. Set-ups like this (and the others to come as we get closer to Election Day) will be pointed to as the reason why so many voters, despite the Exit Polls and the pre-Election Polls, voted for the Republican candidate and not the Democrat when, in all acutality, it was Rove and his minions moving votes around electronically as well as pulling them out of his ever-growing eg. more personal data stolen/missing "Ghost Votes" bag.

They'll now have instances of allegedly planned "terror attacks" to say, now, THAT was the reason they voted for the Republicans, 'cause they knew the Repugs would keep them safe.

If the Dems don't start flapping their whiney jaws NOW about Election Fraud -- I mean, c'mon guys, grow a friggin' backbone and RISK being unpopular and (gasp!) not PC just ONCE! --, we can continue to kiss our Civil Rights and Count Every Vote dreams goodbye.

20. What, you don't think it's logical that scary terra-ists would train
out in the open in the middle of a large city?

We are watching a play, written and directed by BushCo. A play about a group of people we'll conveniently never hear from and never see again. BushCo can follow the script or make it up as they go, it doesn't matter because there will be no public defense.

Too funny in a bizarre way = The Corporate Media was ooh-ing and ahh-ing over how one of the suspected terrorists <gasp> had made "oath to al quaeda"?!? :wtf: Is it sort of like joining a club and singing the "terra-ist" song together.

MIC ... see this TRIPE is the focus of today (you dumb f**ker in the peasant classes are so damn easy to distract that it's almost not even sport anymore)

KEY ... why? because we love to keep your SIMPLE LITTLE minds off of the true issues shaping your REAL LIVES and the surrounding World Community, i.e., yes, despite what FOX tells you, you're a major dumba** if you continue to ignore the rest of the globe. :grr:

32. I picked up on that too...
and one of the talking head reporters touched on it, the guy that they interviewed that was also supposedly a part of this group, but not charged in the plot, claimed that they read the Bible, and they called their gathering place a Temple. Doesn't sound Muslim to me....

a story about the heat. :eyes:

But, when they got to the raid in Miami, I thought "Wow, this must be for real, they've got Marines in full combat gear and bombed out buildings".

Only about 15 seconds into it did I realize that they were showing clips from Iraq. :eyes:

And, I bet you more than 80% of their audience fell for it.
