Poll question: Whose your top choice for '08 nomination
among those who are actively considering it?

(It took me two minutes to write this poll, so now I'll get back to concentrating on '06).

5. Sorry
but Gore has repeatedly said that he is not seeking the nomination. The others are actively considering it and have begun to raise money and assemble campaign teams. Gore hasn't. It doesn't mean he won't eventually run (I hope he does), but this poll is just among those who in all probability will run.

6. President Clark works for me.
Edited on Thu Jun-22-06 06:55 PM by Pithy Cherub
I really love Gore and Feingold too for their excellent contributions in the last six years, but :loveya: Clark the best.

on edit: It took 30 seconds for the post and 30 seconds to edit it so that was one minute on '08.

7. The 2008 Election will be Historic.
There will be no incumbent VP or President running for their party's nomination, so the field will be incredibly crowded...perhaps more so than any other time in history. It's going to be a bit of a free-for-all, unless the MSM is right and Hillary runs away with it. I doubt that will happen though, politics and Iowans aren't that predictable.

13. I am undecided
I really like Feingold because he is an elected official who never fears voting for his concience. He would make a decisive leader. With his senate record though, could he be elected?

Going with the conventional knowledge that the last two Dem presidents have been southern governors, Warner is an attractive candidate who could win over southern states. I am looking for some real meaningful change though, and I am not sure he could deliver it.

Obama has a great amount of charisma and is fairly progressive. He would have the perfect amount of senate time so as not to accumulate a huge record. Will America elect a minority though?

It will be very hard for me to decide until they have all campaigned for a while.

15. Our leader has not appeared yet

so I don't think any of the above-mentioned people, although I like all of them, will be the '08 choice. The voice of the D's has not made him/her-self clear, at least to me. My 2nd choice would be Feingold.

21. My first choice would be Gore
Until he explicitly rules out running again, then we should consider him a possible candidate.

Tipper Gore was on national TV the other day - talking about how Al would make a great President.

When asked about this statement - Al Gore said that his wife "did a great job".

It doesn't take a genius to work out that he is leaving the door open.

The one thing he has said is that he is "certain" he will support the Dem nominee.

In Gore We Trust :)
