We need to stop the NAFTA Super Highway:
I feel very sorry for the Mexican being exploited for this endeavor. While in the short-term this will give them jobs, and is the kind of positive economic activity that will change Mexico, because Mexico does not have a strong middle class, the money made by this activity will eventually land in the hands of the people at the top. That is the sad truth of their nation, and if we don't work with their people to stop this, it will be our fate as well.

We can only hope the "Alliance for Mexico" will win the elections. They will hopefully see this as another ploy by the rich to degrade the middle class of America, and continue to subjugate the people of Mexico economically.

1. When we are all working just to put some food on the table
their will be no need to bring in any thing to sell. Just workers for the rich behind their walls. I think the saying biting the hand that feeds you fits here.

6. Consumers are great but it has a part that has to fit
A way to make money to do the thing. And I am sure as time gets hard for people they will cut it all down to just what is needed. The great Am. middle class that was the envy of the world may be going to have a lot of trouble. Course I was born in the middle of the great depression so even if I came from a middle class family a lot of that thinking must have got into my head. I do not think it will be a crash but just a slow decrease in living standards. Why pay a good wage when you can get it all done so cheap? I just think as we made a better working society here by bring all the boats up all around, the lower wages, from a third class society moving in will lower them in the same way. How long it takes you to buy a pair of shoes and loaf of bread to day is longer than it was 20 years ago which tells you the wages are going down. No matter is you are rich or poor that is more of less a steady guide. With out that buying power their is no reason to get a lot of goods any place. We just may be putting money in buggy whips. I think Bush is speeding it up and would think a man with all that education would understand some of this.

his MBA was a junior collage level degree... the instructor said that as he walked out the door the last day he thought..'i feel sorry for who he ends up working for'

Quietly but systematically, the Bush Administration is advancing the plan to build a huge NAFTA Super Highway, four football-fields-wide, through the heart of the U.S. along Interstate 35, from the Mexican border at Laredo, Tex., to the Canadian border north of Duluth, Minn.

Once complete, the new road will allow containers from the Far East to enter the United States through the Mexican port of Lazaro Cardenas, bypassing the Longshoreman’s Union in the process. The Mexican trucks, without the involvement of the Teamsters Union, will drive on what will be the nation’s most modern highway straight into the heart of America. The Mexican trucks will cross border in FAST lanes, checked only electronically by the new “SENTRI” system. The first customs stop will be a Mexican customs office in Kansas City, their new Smart Port complex, a facility being built for Mexico at a cost of $3 million to the U.S. taxpayers in Kansas City.

As incredible as this plan may seem to some readers, the first Trans-Texas Corridor segment of the NAFTA Super Highway is ready to begin construction next year. Various U.S. government agencies, dozens of state agencies, and scores of private NGOs (non-governmental organizations) have been working behind the scenes to create the NAFTA Super Highway, despite the lack of comment on the plan by President Bush. The American public is largely asleep to this key piece of the coming “North American Union” that government planners in the new trilateral region of United States, Canada and Mexico are about to drive into reality.

these people have so much money. We're up against people who can buy off candidates what do we do to stop it? Protests? You think that would work? We need to think about this for a while.

co-author. Somebody challenged me as to about whether I was disputing the "facts" that a NAFTA superhighway is being built or that there are governmental infrastructures being put in place for a North American Union. I say, that anything being passed through CORSI's filter calls for research in other sources. These threads are popping up over and over. Whenever CORSI is pointed to, another thread is popped up.

The details of the NAFTA Super Highway are hidden in plan view. Still, Bush has not given speeches to bring the NAFTA Super Highway plans to the full attention of the American public. Missing in the move toward creating a North American Union is the robust public debate that preceded the decision to form the European Union. All this may be for calculated political reasons on the part of the Bush Administration.

A good reason Bush does not want to secure the border with Mexico may be that the administration is trying to create express lanes for Mexican trucks to bring containers with cheap Far East goods into the heart of the U.S., all without the involvement of any U.S. union workers on the docks or in the trucks

North American Union Would Trump U.S. Supreme Court

The Bush Administration is pushing to create a North American Union out of the work on-going in the Department of Commerce under the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America in the NAFTA office headed by Geri Word. A key part of the plan is to expand the NAFTA tribunals into a North American Union court system that would have supremacy over all U.S. law, even over the U.S. Supreme Court, in any matter related to the trilateral political and economic integration of the United States, Canada and Mexico. ....

Robert Pastor of American University, the vice chairman of the CFR task force report, provided much of the intellectual justification for the formation of the North American Union. He has repeatedly argued for the creation of a North American Union “Permanent Tribunal on Trade and Investment.” Pastor understands that a “permanent court would permit the accumulation of precedent and lay the groundwork for North American business law.” Notice, Pastor says nothing about U.S. business law or the U.S. Supreme Court. In the view of the globalists pushing toward the formation of the North American Union, the U.S. is a partisan nation-state whose limitations of economic protectionism and provincial self-interest are outdated and as such must be transcended, even if the price involves sacrificing U.S. national sovereignty.

When it comes to the question of illegal immigrants, Pastor’s solution is to erase our borders with Mexico and Canada so we can issue North American Union passports to all citizens. In his testimony to the Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee on June 9, 2005, Pastor made this exact argument: “Instead of stopping North Americans on the borders, we ought to provide them with a secure, biometric Border Pass that would ease transit across the border like an E-Z pass permits our cars to speed though toll booths.” ....

We wonder if the Bush Administration intends to present the Trilateral Regulatory Cooperative Framework now being constructed by SPP.gov to Congress for review in 2007, or will the administration simply continue along the path of knitting together the new NAU regional governmental structure behind closed doors by executive fiat? Ms. Word affirms that the membership of the various SPP working group committees has not been published. Nor have the many memorandums of understanding and other trilateral agreements created by these SPP working groups been published, not even on the Internet.

Mr. Corsi is the author of several books, including "Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry" (along with John O'Neill), "Black Gold Stranglehold: The Myth of Scarcity and the Politics of Oil" (along with Craig R.
