let me see if I got the Republican logic re Iraq
1. We honor the troops by forcing them to remain slaughtered in Iraq while having NO PLAN to get them out.

2. If we set timetables, the "terrorists" will "wait" and when we leave they will attack WHO exactly?? Im having a real problem grasping the logic of this one.

1. its better to have the die there with no plan than to do any work
and come up with a plan.

There is no exit strategy or plan because exit was never part of the plan.

3. Another point...
if you don't leave more soldiers there to die, then the ones who have already died will have died in vain

4. Forgot: grant amnesty to those shooting at our troops
while the troops are still in the line of fire! That's a doosey! Sort of 'Bring it on' with a 'we won't hold anything against you' clause.

Hey, GOP, how about holding off on that amnesty thing until we get our personnel out of the target zones! :grr:

5. The Repubs believe that the best political defense is a bold
sounding offense, therefore, to follow the slogan to "stay the course" fills that bill. Secondly, and underlying everything else, the Bushists are about to abandon their almost completed theft of one of the worlds largest oil fields.
