Cantwell's lead over McGavick nearly gone

Dwindling voter support for U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell's re-election bid has put her in a statistical toss-up with her Republican opponent, according to a new poll announced Wednesday. Rasmussen Reports, an independent national polling firm, said a survey of 500 likely Washington voters June 13 showed the Democratic incumbent leading challenger Mike McGavick 44 percent to 40 percent. The margin of error was plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.

2. Either that or the GOP-controlled corporate media
is hiring hacks to do polling to make it seem closer so they can Diebold the election.

3. The pollsters are deliberately stilting the survey
There is a huge amount of dissatisfaction with Cantwell in Washington right now, believe me. The problem is, the pollsters insist on asking only about Cantwell and McGavick. Given that choice, I would be forced to say "uncommited" or even "I'll sit this one out."

Much more revealing would be a poll asking "likely voters in the Democratic Primary" who they would elect as their candidate, or a poll that looks at all registered candidates and not just the "likely candidates." But that would show just how dismal both the Chosen are really doing, and we can't have that.

5. We Already HAD Election Fraud Happen, LOL
In Thurston as well as Snohomish counties, where they went to electronic voting, magically the counts were messed up. For instance, during the apex of the vote counting, one of those county's computer link went dead for 15 minutes while thousands of votes flew out into cyberspace. The Good Fairy of the rich was on their side and those counties counted as red counties (those districts are "coincidentally" both counties that have wealthy who are beyond the obscene for their gaudi-ness and then the abysmally poor who outnumber them by thousands).

Marie Cantwell barely won against Slade Gorton (or "Skelator" as we so "affectionately" called him). She is a Real Networks billionaire and often does not have a clue, though our other senator, Patty Murray(raised on welfare and educated by miracle) has taught her a great deal, IMO.

It is not as if Marie was not told her stance on the war would hurt her, or that her other votes in congress were causing angst with her supporters, she did not listen. She is so enamored with the DLC that she follows them around like a puppy dog and breathes in every word. Since the DLC is about as out of touch with their base as anyone would be (and I think deliberately) so is Cantwell. But she has done some good work on social issues such as welfare, tho I think this is because of Patty. Sadly, as in other parts of the country, most of the Dems in power here in this state are DLC-type Dems. Our reps are more in tune with their base than the senators, which is probably true for most of the country as well.

If she makes it through the primaries, I will vote for her with a heavy heart because she is better than ANY Rethug we have. But in the primaries, I will vote for Mike as I love what he was all about and I hope he wins...

My 2 cents

6. Vote Mark Willson in the WA state Primary

HE does give us a choice.

I won't vote for DINO Cantwell.

And yes she must come out against the war -- listen to the majority.

7. Just like Gore and Bush
:eyes:

Some people never learn. You can campaign for an alternate candidate without destroying the Democrat in office, especially in a state like Washington. Just stupid.
