Did anyone see GWB get interviewed by the European media?
When questioned that the United States appear to be a bigger threat to world piece than any other country, the little "pea shooter" replied, ""That's absurd,"

<<snip>>
"That's absurd," Bush snapped when asked, in general terms, about the poll results. His irritation grew when an Austrian reporter read him some specific poll numbers.

"Look, people didn't agree with my decision on Iraq, and I understand that. For Europe, September the 11th was a moment; for us, it was a change of thinking," he said, as his jaw muscles twitched in irritation. "People can say what they want to say. But leadership requires making hard choices based upon principle."

5. One step further!
They always connect 9/11 to Iraq! Something he said himself, had nothing to do with each other.

8. He is so ignorant....just as Rummy shit on Europe...monkey boy
does the same....Europe has seen more terrorism and war than ever seen on American soil....(not negating the tradgedy)....we should have learned from their history and the impact of their history....

instead he basically says, "you Europeans weren't really effected by it" we had the worlds sympathy....and squandered it....

10. Can't count on the European press to lob softballs, can you Chimp?
What's absurd is having you represent the rest of us at such summits. You are an embarassment.

13. Remember that lady from Ireland who interviewed him a while back?
She didn't lob softballs either. Then just as now, Junior wasn't used to it and didn't like it. That's a pretty sad indictment against our reporters. Helen is right.

11. Principles?
I guess this whole mess pretty well explains his principles.
I bet he wakes up every morning, looks in the mirror , slaps his face and says " I am the president, they're all wrong, I'm not an idiot, I want to go back to bed."

I've been a fan of DU for a long time and just got tired of yelling out the window in the middle of the night. This is a more satisfying arena to vent in.

25. Hi Thorn,
and welcome to the DU! :smoke: You're right: this is the place to vent. My little fingers used to smoke on the keyboard....as I pounded out my anger over Bush. ....I feel better now.

26. Hi Cliss
It might somehow make a difference when we write out our anger and ideas for all to see.
A vision can't come true unless you share it.
This admin makes me sick with everything they do. The only bright spot I can think of was when Georgie made that huge ocean preserve off the coast of Hawaii recently. But I am sure there was some calculated political reasoning for that too , probably to be able to say that they had done something for the environment come election time.

Regards

24. I saw part on the news (live) this afternoon
He must have been winging it, he sounded like a babbling idiot.
That "aw shucks" down home talk doesn't sell in an international venue anyway, but he seemed at a particular loss for the right words as he stuttered and stammered through his speech.

He didn't appear very bright.
