I wish people would stop calling Fox a Conservative Network
Their agenda is not political. The mission of Fox News is to promote policies that help corporations and the rich. To the extent the Republican party helps in this goal they are supported by Fox. I wish people understood this.

1. Fox's agenda...
Is to make ratings and therefore more money... simple as that...

They prey on those with simple minds that need to be told what to think...

8. They don't make money from ratings but from supporting fascism
These big companies make money from monopoly which they get guaranteed for obedience to the military industrial complex. Many liberals have had good ratings and have been quarantined from TV.

5. Well, if neoconservatism can be called conservatism
then they're promoting a very conservative agenda. If, though. Neoconservatism has few of the original conservative values. On the other hand, they are just going to do whatever pays. If it payed better to promote liberalism, they'd probably do that... but I wouldn't want people like that on my side. Mercenaries, nothing more. Presstitutes, as one DUer brilliantly put it.

10. Well I am with you on this. Neo-cons are not what was a Rep
What fox is, I think, a ch. that goes where the money and power is right now. I think you would find that the religious base is not rich but keeps the rich in power in that party. Course the church leaders are rich. For some odd reason that used to be the old Dem. party of the South. One has to guess this 'value' thing is what they are voting for as the party does nothing for their work. Are you a little up tight about what that part of the party was after? I am but it was a long time ago so my thinking may be way off in the worry I have about it. Old Dem. party members and rich trust kids in business are just such an odd mix I can not get it into my head why it has worked so well. I grew up in a society that were Conservative Rep. and it was no wars, lower taxes and keep the gov. off your back and one had to think what was best for the whole. I my self go with that but I think Gov. must over see some of what business does.

6. That's the conservative agenda
I wish people would stop believing there's anything more to the conservative agenda than promoting policies that help corporations and the rich. That's the "America" they're "conserving".

9. The neo-cons are not conservatives
Conservatism itself is flawed, elitist, and destabilizing, but the neo-cons appear to be pushing for everything "conservtives" claim to oppose. Larger gov't, unchecked-spending, nation-building, interference w/religion and personal matters, "nanny-statism," etc.

It makes me wonder what small gov't conseratives who vote "R" actually want, since they are voting for huge deficits, imperialism, and a police-state.

11. that depends on what the definition of "conservative" is
http://www.liberaloasis.com/liberaloasisv2/theblog/2006/06/know_your_enemy.php

"Liberals in the United States have been losing political debates to conservatives for a quarter century. In order to start winning again, liberals must answer two simple questions: what is conservatism, and what is wrong with it? As it happens, the answers to these questions are also simple:

Q: What is conservatism?
A: Conservatism is the domination of society by an aristocracy.
Q: What is wrong with conservatism?
A: Conservatism is incompatible with democracy, prosperity, and civilization in general. It is a destructive system of inequality and prejudice that is founded on deception and has no place in the modern world."

and that matches both what you say the mission of Fox news is and generally the platform, sometimes hidden, of the Republican Party.
