'reminded' him that Poland and England are 'drawing down'. Get w/the program, Warner!

52. Just saw his interview with Anderson Cooper
and he was great..he certainly defined his lie and die statement..
I understand the Democrats in the Senate differ from setting a withdrawal date vs the redeploy issue but that's not really enough of a disagreement to label the Democrats as not being united. But I guess it gives Rove enough ammunition to prod the MSM to report it this way.
However this withdrawal issue is now hot enough that it is not going to be swept away by some political maneuver by Frist..I say go ahead Rove and call us Cut and Run Democrats, but some catchy slogan wont work this time.. Oh and I thought it was great when JK said this about Rove."For someone who has never fired a shot or been shot at doesn't know what cut and run means"

9. anyone watching c span 2
between Kerry and Warner, I don't know about you but I think Kerry's plan is right, and precise, but Warner is part of the vast right wing, I do not see him bending on this. Timetable didn't they give the Iraqis a timetable to vote, I recall they did. Warner is finding any excuse not to give Kerry any credit at all. Kerry is making sense, but these guys do not know what sense is.

When he suggested that the other countries around the region talk, I remember that the other nations did try to help but Bush co, told them to get lost, this administration does not know what diplomacy is? they just believe in military might, well we all see where that has got us huh?

15. What did he say about "if they don't do it themselves, it will never
happen, because we can't do it for them". He used the word "ain't". I was surprised.

400,000 Iraqi security forces are incompetent? Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

Iraqi political entities will not make any deals amongst themselves as long as they don't really have to, ergo they'll say we should go home when they have no intention of becoming one with one another, because they're still "bargaining" with one another.

He doesn't want a strong government because a strong government might be able to force us to leave. A weak government needs us there (or won't have the will to kick us out)

comparing Kosovo civil war with Iraq? my brain is dumbing down trying to figure out what he is saying. Oh, sectarian violence, we've helped before we can do it again (and why is this happening anyway and why is it increasing even if we are trying to help you little squished face whiner?). Oh lord, now off to WW1 and WW2, lost 18,000 people in 1 day in WW1 and so you see the ones we've lost in Iraq are so little because the cost of freedom is so high, smart about fighting the war on terror. 47. I've been watching ALL day. One thing truly popped out. We
Democrats have the intelligent people by a mile. I have new found respect for Biden and Kerry. And Russ, Oh my God, Russ. and Barbara ! They are very brilliant and you can tell -- they study, they ask, they learn.

Not a single repuke, (although Graham and Hagel seemed sincere) sounded like they had an ounce of intelligence. Tired old flag waving. No substance. No way they could compete with those mentioned about. You can tell they know jack shit on detail.

Guess that's what happens when you take your marching orders from the Man. You don't have to study - you just do what he says.

65. Thanking Kerry for leadership, will vote for both amendments
calm, reasoned, clear that neither amendment is going to pass "we all know that", it won't pass, won't become law. We are doing it because we must put pressure on (pres?), for the people that know it is wrong, that we have been misled into this war. Anything we can do to give voice to the american people who will pull the pres back to a more reasonable and sane policy, I will support.

86. base it not on happy talk but facts on the ground
he's using nice short words and phrases. Mrbush "the taliban is no longer in existence", now the war Afghanistan is worsening due to our being distracted in Iraq. Bin Laden at large, still. More bush quotes from 5 yrs ago.

this administration.

He has shredded his last bit of credibility when it comes to Iraq.

I think the President has it backward...truth is, the Iraqi Army and the Iraqi Gov't will stand up, make the hard political decisions, only when it is clear that the American army is standing down, by the end of the year.

Will vote to "stay the course"

In a war against a "transnational army".

The terrorist began attacking us before Sept. 11. Bombed Khobar Towers, USS Cole, blah blah blah

We know who the terrorists are. A tightly knit and organized group of terrorists.

What a tool!

109. I have been extremely impressed
with all the "real" Democratic Senators during this debate. They have all offered with great definition the Democratic "plan" for Iraq and the urgency for it's adoption, completely dispelling the right wing spin of "cut and run". I now offer the challenge to the Republican party to definitively lay out with equal detail thier strategy of "stay the course". I know that it will be an impossible task for them to accomplish. My God, I am profoundly proud of our party tonight.
