4. Funny this should come up now. I was wondering the other day

if all of the Senate women still meet weekly. There was a book a few years back - "Nine and Counting: The Women of the Senate" by Catherine Whitney that address the weekly meetings that the Dem & Repug female Senators had.

At the time the women were Barbara Milulski, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, Patty Murray, Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Mary Landrieu and Blanche L. Lincoln. At the time of the book they had been meeting for several years in a non-political dinner to just be friends and co-workers in a very politically charged world. They shared experiences, support, etc. just a a small minority in a very large pond. I found the book hopeful because at the time it came out, 2000, the repugs were doing their damnest to make sure there would never, ever been any cooperation between the two parties.

The other day I was wondering if these meetings were still ongoing or if Chucklenuts, KKKarl and Dead Eye put the skids on any bipartisanship in their efforts to permanently split the country in two. Anyone know?
