19. Yeah, I don't think he'll run either
Hasn't his wife been up to some really shady stuff, like smuggling things past customs and got caught? I don't think his wife and kids could stand up to even "some" scrutiny.

21. if the bushes managed to keep prescott's dealings withthe nazis
out of the press, they will manage to keep columba's minutia (by comparison) out of the press as well, just as they managed to keep georgie's AWOL, P's criminal trespassing of his ex-gril friend's home, jebbie's humping of a girl in a tallahassee parking lot, noelle's many drug encounters. you know, if there is one thing are really good at, it is at keeping the press silent.

8. I've often thought since 2004...
when immediately after the Nov election... all political talk was "Hillary will win the Democratic nomination" and nary a word about who the Repug candidate would be. They've (the corporate media) been priming us for a Hillary nomination and kept all talk of Repugs on the back burner.

Why? :shrug: To keep us so out of the loop, that another Shrub will be the candidate? Or because they have other plans to keep the present Shrub in power?

23. It's been auto-freeped; it's a lost cause.
They claim over 375,000 votes, and it's 55% Repub?
Bullshit.

That's not just freeps, it's freeps voting THOUSANDS of times apiece.

That's assuming those totals aren't just made up;
given their obviously deliberate bias in the choice
of photos, I wouldn't be surprised if they were.

20. If Baghdad becomes a swarm of competing militias and the U.S. has
to leave in a hurry the one identifying characterization of George W. Bush's presidency will be the unmitigated disaster in foreign policy generally and in Iraq specifically.

I don't think the party will turn to Jeb if Iraq deteriorates beyond the already-tragic conditions there now.

I don't think Jeb believes he can win the nomination without a bloody, nasty fight, and I think the GOP's few remaining stalwarts are not going to get behind anybody named 'Bush' for 2008.

A Democratic win in 2008 and a successful 8-year, 2-term presidency with significant restoration of national unity and purpose would make Jeb Bush a has-been by 2012. Younger, newer, hungrier Republicans will want the pole positions for themselves.
