Russia to Double Oil Deliveries to China in 2006
2005-12-30 16:53:46 CRIENGLISH.com
Russian state-owned oil company Rosneft plans to double its oil deliveries to China, the company said Thursday.

Rosneft said it had already delivered 4.4 million metric tons of oil to China since it started operations to the neighboring country, the world's biggest crude consumer, in February 2005.

"Deliveries will in 2006 double," the company said.

Rosneft runs its oil deliveries through the Caspian pipeline consortium of Chechen oil company Grozneftegaz, Yuganskneftegaz, a former Yukos subsidiary now owned by Rosneft, and subsidiary Purneftegaz. Since November 2005, it has delivered crude oil from the Sakhalin-I oil and gas project off Russia's Pacific coast to the Komsomolsky oil refinery in the Far East.
