For an example of this on a personal level.. I had a black roommate when I was in residential housing. She was FORCED to get norplant put in her arm or be kicked onto the street by the state run program that was supposed to help her. She wasn't sexually active either.It blew my mind. It was racist as shit..It pissed me off too...And get this..
Meanwhile I am white,and I wanted a tubal ligation and I had to fight tooth and nail to keep my fucking shrink from interfering with me getting it done. I reported this disparity ..to someone political whom I thought could help,and soon as staff got wind of it a night staff choked me one night and I nearly passed out.(If I fought I would be evicted so I didn't)and suddenly since choking failed to give them a reason to get me out,section 8 opened up when I thought I had like 4 years longer to wait....Why? There is bad shit going on right under the surface and someone's making tons of money..I've seen it with my own eyes.And I ain't the only one..
