What would a George W. Bush monument look like?
He would probably want to rename the Washington Monument after himself, after making it twice as tall and adding a couple of spherical oil tanks at the bottom...

But what do you think would be more appropriate for him?

12. the reality
It should look just like a bombed out nation spattered in blood with a propped up bombshell casing with a cast lead replica of bushes head in place of the war-head planted right dead center . Then a plaque with the decider hung from the replicas neck chain and another tall stone erection set of to the side with the long long list of all his stinking lies and insane speeches . It will be quite the attraction taking years for people trying to make sense out of his meaningless ramblings . The scene however will tell the story of a failed dictator .

19. it might look like this

That's the high school where I worked, until I got sick of seeing W on my way into school every day, so I left. A local wealthy Republican-donating family felt it would be a good idea to donate $400,000 to erecting a 'statue garden' in front of the school during the 2004 election campaign (in Ohio, of course), and the public school board figured, "Why not?" Of course, we had to cut staff over the next year because we didn't have enough money, but at least we had a statue of Bush!

By the way, that's the district superintendent to W's left, and I think most of the kids were family friends or relatives of the donors.

Bush bust vandalized with paint
By Bill Cissell, Journal Staff Writer

RAPID CITY - Authorities aren't sure whether one person or several are responsible for vandalizing the bust of President George W. Bush along Highway 16 south of Rapid City on Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.

The 9-ton bust had brown paint thrown on it and the words "NO MORE BLOOD" written with the same paint on its base, Pennington County Deputy Sheriff Jack Mann said Thursday.

23. A series of lag screws
Lag screws are massive wood screws with boltheads on them. You use them for things like attaching floor joists to deck piers.

The lag screws in question will be 83 feet 4 inches tall by three feet in diameter.

That weird dimension breaks out to exactly 1000 inches--one inch for every soldier killed in Iraq. Right now he gets three screws.

You figure out the symbolism of this monument.

39. Something impressive from a distance
Monumental, something with marble, maybe a reflecting pool.

Behind the fascade, everything would be shabby. Most of the doors wouldn't open. Drinking fountains wouldn't work. Just under the surface of the reflecting pool there'd be skeletons and industrial waste. Surrounding trees would be obviously artificial. Astroturf instead of grass.

I haven't decided if there should be blood stains on it. That could be implied.

Or, how about just erecting a statue of Karl Rove outside a prestigious school for would-be architects? He could be holding the blueprints for building president named Bush.

Or, a child missing limbs, with a crater in his chest -- and clutched in his severed hand is a picture of Bush with the International "No" symbol superimposed on it.
