The president continues to say we must stay in Iraq. Iraq has formed a government, trained 265,600 Iraq security forces and the Iraqis want to govern themselves. We have more than 20,000 deaths from this war, and yet terrorist attacks rose sharply last year to more than 10,000. By the end of this year, we will have spent $450 billion U.S. taxpayer dollars on this war. Enough is enough. Our nation deserves better.

I was at a meeting today of an antiwar group here in Brunswick, GA...Murtha got a lot of our attention and discussion today...and, the amazing thing is that no matter what they throw at him, it just has no effect whatsoever. I also picked up today at that meeting a new bumper sticker that is now on my car. It says "Had enough? Vote Democratic" Gotta love it!

some politician or staffer came out with a book that was critical of the Bush regime a few years ago, and he said, "I'm old and I'm rich. What can they do to me?" I guess that's Murtha's attitude too.

Murtha is terrific. Since he has started speaking out I think he is looking younger and more fit then he did. His posture everything about his mannerism's seems to have a sparkle. We so needed a clear respected voice.
