Rove does it again, Projection is his greatest weapon.
Developing on Rawstory, Rove claims the right uses the internet to broaden their appeal, and the left uses it to mobilize hate and anger. How does he keep getting away with framing the debate?

The reality of the internet is this, we're playing catch-up. I remember a year ago when the media was talking daily about the left-wing blogs, my brother suspiciously asked what we were up to. I said we were playing catch-up against the conservatives because they were doing it ten years before us. It was Drudge, Lucianne Goldberg and townhall.com, to name a few, who created the delta of misinformation that later filtered into the mainstream. We're at least ten years behind them, but catching up quick.

1. He's just a liar; nothing more and nothing less. He's not brilliant
nor a strategist. All of the Bushes are accomplished liars who chose a lie a week and repeat it over and over. It's easy to do if you don't have any morals or conscience. Plus they are assholes.

2. True, but that doesn't help.
No offense, but no one who doesn't already know that would be convinced.

7. Brilliance is defined by success
He knows how to play the political chess game very well. If the Democrats continue to underestimate him, he'll keep winning. Just watch.

Why isn't it that easy any more?

3. Oh sure
OK. Look at DU, KOS, other Dem boards. Now go look at freeperville and other RW boards. And come back here and tell me which board is the one with the most hatred?

GUARANTEE you it's the RWers.

As if we don't know he takes what they do and say it's us.

Karl Rove: You are a hatemonger, and a patriot works to UNITE a nation, not divide it. Shame on you for forgetting that we are ALL Americans here.

Just pick ten random posts from freeperland, and ten random ones from DU. Compare, contrast, 'nuff said.

4. Rove states his lies as fact, and his base believes him.
We have a president who called a journalist a "major league a**hole"..... and a VP who told a Senator to "go f*** himself. And Rove is trying to accuse Democrats of being angry and hateful?

5. we are not haters, we just are angry over what was stolen from us
2 elections were stolen from us, our right to vote was stolen from us, our right to privacy
was stolen from us, our right to have the police knock before searching our homes was stolen
from us, our right to have the government and our papers tell us the facts was stolen from us.
There is no "left" organizing us, it is just a communication line of like minded people who
want to take back what was stolen and should never have been taken away in the first place.

6. I don't think many RW's know the difference
between hate and anger. They do know that the number of citizens that not angry at them is dwindling.

10. remember how vitriolic they were about Clinton
all of that was personal yet somehow it was like they were on a mission fron God to stone Clinton, the country was in great shape, peaceful, prosperous but there they were the fist
shakers. Now, we see ourselves losing money in the stock market, our young people given the
heavy burdens of a huge deficit while there are constantly more exemptions for the rich,
our young soldiers are being ground up in a war which is more uncertain and unpopular every day.
It is not me saying it but the entire world. They asked some of our most experienced thinkers
in this country what they thought of George Bush's performance on the War on Terror with a scale
of 1 (worst) with 10 being highest. Of 166 people surveyed, he was given a 1.8. These are former CIA, state department officials, Pentagon officials and intelligent thinkers from around
the country. Newsweek currently has a piece on how the world has lost respect for Bush and sees
him as weak and are out to take advantage of us as a result. We don't even have someone at the
UN that made it thru the congressional review process. When he did not pass muster, the decider
appointed him, probably for life. We have a congress that has a sham debate on Iraq after it
is given a script of what to say by the Pentagon. How is this a thoughtful and reasoned
exercise of their oversight as defined in the Constitution, to let the Pentagon use them as
a mouthpiece and rubberstamp. World leaders now say that Bush is a greater danger in the
Middle East than Iran. There may be anger but it is not the creation of any conspiracy; it is the natural response of the policies of this administration and it is global.

9. The left creates hate? Hardly.
Mention Bill Clinton, a two term actually elected president, and Hillary, a first lady and U.S. Senator and the right wing fringe comes unglued.

16. Exactly. And what Rove hates the most is that when Liberals blog..
they go on the truth and punch through the myth-making. If you've every tried to have a forum discussion with a GOP type.. they are either spreading myths.. or falling for them.

It isn't about discussion at all on the right. It is about Rove's 30 year reign..and the wedges and myths and narrative that needs to exist for that to come about. GOP types never try to solve issues.. they only try to tribalize more.

1. He's first with any meme

2. He'll say *anything* that panders to his base and to the deluded

3. He has the media working for him

He's no genius. He's just ruthless.

He doesn't scare me a damn bit. Politicians who are scared of him act that way, conduct their campaigns that way, and lose because of it imo.
