MSRNC: Crowley's back. Maury CHUNG & Connie cancelled

Somehow I missed the cancellation of Mr & Ms CHUNG until last night on Conan O'BRIEN (the audience cheered). To those who will post here saying I-would-never-watch-those-2-why-would you?-----yeah-yeah, we know.

This is one topic that doesn't need links. There's an embarrassment of riches: Just Google Maury Connie cancelled MSNBC. Apparently this "news" broke a week ago Thurs, 6-8. & the top links were from the NY Post and UPI, wingnuts.

Connie could find every blame-the-Dems spiel no matter how bad the news was for Shrub. 29%?---It's the Dems' fault for not being able to capitalize on this.

Then on sL-IMUS this A.M., the CROWLEY was pumping hard for Shrub Neo-Conned koolaid. She's going to be doing news 2xafternoons on Thurs/Fri(s). I never could grok why Ron REAGAN & CROWLEY needed to be cancelled during weekdays to make room for Maury CHUNG on weekends.

If they're giving her a short commentary spot, it's bad, but not awful.

But if MSNBC is making her a news "anchor" or "host" then MSNBC is truly heded down the toilet. The only wy they could make amends is to give equal (but seperate) airtime for Ron Reagan.

Or, this could be titled, regarding Maury CHUNG & Connie, "?Quien es mas wingnut?--Maury or Connie?" Connie frequently in her "debate" with Maury would find a way to blame the Dems for every slump in the Shrub political fortunes: "I blame THE DEMOCRATS for 1- not being able to capitalize on (Shrub's) 29% (or) 2- not mounting an OPPOSITION."

No more weekends with Maury, Connie

NEW YORK -- Connie Chung and Maury Povich will have a little more free time after this weekend.

The married couple's short-lived half-hour MSNBC talk show, Weekends with Maury & Connie, will air its final edition tomorrow, the network has confirmed.

The weekly program, which premiered in January, returned Chung to the airwaves after her weeknight CNN series was cancelled in 2003. This was the first time Chung and Povich had worked together on a national news program. But the venture never found an audience.

Povich continues as host of the long-running syndicated talk show Maury.

The move comes just days after NBC News legal correspondent Dan Abrams was put in charge of MSNBC. Rick Kaplan, who was president of the cable network for two years, left last week.
